If you looked at my review history, you’ll see that I don’t often leave one. That’s not because I’ve never had good service; I have. But there are but a few that deliver “above and beyond” service experi don’t often leave one. That’s not because I’ve never had good service; I have. But there are but a few that deliver “above and beyond” service experience, as the now trite saying goes. When those occur, they must be celebrated. And that’s what I’m here to shout from the roof tops about Bruce Disbury of BMW San Rafael. Unbeknownst to Bruce at the time, I had been looking for the perfect package to the point of exhaustion. Message after message, calls after calls, I’ve reached out to BMW dealerships close to home and all the way out to the four corners, so to speak (Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, and Los Angeles). The effort was wearisome as I’ve come to find out how, sadly, sleazy and utterly unprofessional some of these came across. I even had one of sales person give me the, “…then this is not your car” after I told him my budget. Still, I was considering buying a car from that dealership since they, as I was told, had the most allocation of BMW in the country (Hint: think “Hills”). Fortunately for me, I just kept looking. That hunter’s stamina was rewarded when I found a similar build at BMW San Rafael. BUT what’s even more satisfying is finding an amazing ambassador of the BMW brand in Bruce. I showed up 20 minutes before closing, and he was patient. At no point did I feel that he was just ‘dialing it in’ given it was almost time to go home. He answered all my questions. And when it got down to helping me get to my purchase, I was expecting a similar Bayerische-Motoren-Werke-attitude/back-and-forth — NOT one bit of it. We agreed on a fair price and the rest was just one wow-moment after another. Do yourself a favor, skip the hustlers (trust me on this) and get your Ultimate Driving Machine from him. Danke schoen, Bruce! More
My BMW was still under warranty and free service. The mileage was low for the age because during covid I didn't drive much. When you take your car in you don't really get to talk to a service advisor. you leave your car and then the service advisor calls you later. When the advisor called he recommended that I have the head removed so they could blast out accumulated carbon, because I must have been putting around town and have carbon build up. Ahh, low mileage but I don't putt around town, with a Dinan tune to give me extra hp. I was pressured for this extra work but finally convinced the service writer I didn't want the service. Oh yeah, the cost was $2500 or so. Never going back to the dealer and my next BMW purchase won't be from this dealer network. They own the closest 3 dealer to me but no way am I rewarding this type of horrible service. More
This dealership doesn't even deserve a 1 rating. We've purchased 2 new x4s in the last 3 years. Hard to imagine how their service department could not be worse. After trying to schedule our first service since November 15 we were able to make an appointment for Dec 26. No loner cars were available as our service person Mark Linkler ? ( did not call back not sure of spelling) said all those vehicles 3 of three were being used. Today after calling three times gor an update as to when we could pick up our car ours calls were not returned. Don't want to waste more time on this. Just want to emphasize " Don't go there". More

I've been going to this particular BMW dealer for around 10 years. I've leased car after car and I've received consistent, quality service in every interaction. My sales guy, Peter Rennert, is the absolut 10 years. I've leased car after car and I've received consistent, quality service in every interaction. My sales guy, Peter Rennert, is the absolute best. He has always given me the impression that he cares most about me and meeting my needs. Buying a car is usually a big stressful ordeal, but Peter makes it comfortable and fun. I so appreciate everything he (and his team) has done for me and I'll certainly be going back for my next lease! Thank you, Peter! More

Great leasing experience with Jessy Custodio. He was completely transparent with all of the lease numbers (money factor, residual, etc) and put out a great deal right at the beginning. I purchased my BMW x3 at BMW of San Rafael. It seemed like a good experience at the time as they promised to fix a few things on the car that needed it. Not trusting a car salesman completely I had them like a good experience at the time as they promised to fix a few things on the car that needed it. Not trusting a car salesman completely I had them put it in writing. I have been fighting with them for three years to keep their word and may go to small claims court as they are refusing. Terrible! They are actually breaking a written contract. More
