I was towed to the New London BMW dealer with my AAA membership. Stephen Pescatello was so nice and honest with me and made sure to finish and fix my car so I could get home that same day. Over the past couple of years I have stopped bringing my car to the dealer in Brooklyn (Life Quality) NY because of price and convenience of when I could bring the vehicle in for service. My experience with Stephen would make me want to bring my car back even though I am 150 miles away and possibly buy a new car from them very soon. Great job Stephen and all at BMW of New London. More

I did have a Lexus sports sedan RWD which is not suitable for the weather in this part of the country. I was shown a BMW X5---used, I happened to absolutely love it! This is where the romantic story ends. I had a salesman, Nico, which was very attentive to my needs and wishes for a car (he knew every card to play---great salesman if i must say so not to let any of the remaining comments shade your judgement of my experience.) I agreed to purchase the used X5---although the price was not necessarily what I wanted to pay in the end. This is also not a reason for my further coming negative comments. Nico was a salesman and he sold me. The purchasing department did their job and got the most money for their needs and even used the fancy payment screens to make it seem like you were getting a good deal while they were getting a better deal (this is the nature of the car sales industry and I respect it). The problems I have are that he promised me the car had certain functionality, including Bluetooth and an auto dimming mirror. While I should have paid more attention to the product specs, EVERYONE in the dealership thought it also had these functions. I was told to leave the car to get a few things fixed (which I did for a whole week) and they would fix the bluetooth (the system just needed to be reset by corporate, the mirror would be changed to autodimming, the lighter would work for power, and the board was cracked on the side of the gear shift panel. When I retrieved the car, I was given the keys and told to drive off...it however did not have a functional Bluetooth, they told me the system needed to be reset and no one was there to do it, they had to call BMW corporate. I said OK. Then no one contacted me back. I called again after having it in the shop for a week to remove paint on the door, and a cracked side panel, they then said that it was not possible for a blue tooth. This car has a heated steering wheel, GPS, all the buttons for bluetooth but somehow this particular one is not outfitted to have wireless technology, nor can it have a rear dimming mirror. German engineers are particular...this is totally possible. I took it to another dealer and had them look at it. They said for sure it can be doen but it may cost a little bit. The thing is, New london promised me all these features even after my salesman was let go for personal reasons. I was promised all the help in teh world. However when I went to talk to the people at this dealership, I was essentially accused as a liar and that how did they know the gentleman they fired promised me all of this? They looked at me as a child and a female. I absolutely 100% resent this dealership and their treatment. I have tried to contact BMW corporate and was told that this incident is sales related and to handle it with the GM. I contacted the dealership and the GM and since the purchase of my vehicle and all of the false promises, they have gone through a few sales managers, the GM whom promised me to get back to me (Eli) never did, I also received no response from corporate. While I am willing to chalk this up to a purchase gone bad,...this is a BMW dealership that has a certain reputation to uphold. They have failed on EVERY account. I had a loss of faith in the BMW brand to be quite honest because of my experience. I then took my car to the North Haven BMW dealership and have great experience with this dealership. They even helped my boyfriend with a serious service problem that lived in New London and he purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. Although we live an hour away from North Haven, we will never use New London for service or for car purchase. North HAven BMW saved me from switching back to Lexus. The end of this very long and detailed story which doesnt capture a whole year worth of frustration is: DO NOT PURCHASE FROM NEW LONDON BMW/TOYOTA. Girard, Antonino, Eli...they wont care about you, they only want money. And to be quite honest, I am dissappointed in BMW corporate for failing to respond to my inquiries for help in this situation. In purchasing my first BMW, I would rate the purchase experience as very good. My Client Adviser, Al Duplice was customer focused, helpful and knowledgeable of the product he represented. Others within t experience as very good. My Client Adviser, Al Duplice was customer focused, helpful and knowledgeable of the product he represented. Others within the dealership such as Mr. Girard were energetic and presented themselves as being proud of the BMW corporation they represented. As with any significant purchase, the overall rating will be reflected in the years to come by the support departments such vehicle maintenance, which I have invested in. More
Service is always excellent. My only complaint is that you never seem to have a loaner car available whenever I need to leave the car for any period of time. I am always told that to have a loaner card I you never seem to have a loaner car available whenever I need to leave the car for any period of time. I am always told that to have a loaner card I need to make a reservation several weeks in advance. That is not very practical or helpful. More
My wife brought the car in for service and the service rep was very helpful and gave he a loaner car while ours was being serviced, although the cost of repairs was higher than a regular mechanic we felt rep was very helpful and gave he a loaner car while ours was being serviced, although the cost of repairs was higher than a regular mechanic we felt comfort in the fact that it was performed correctly More
This dealership is pathetic, they don't care about the product, just the money they make, the body shop is a joke! They repaired my car so poorly I will never recommend this dealership to anyone. product, just the money they make, the body shop is a joke! I took my car in for repairs. The convertible top did not go down. I was quoted $500 for the repair and I did not feel that what they thought was the problem was going to fix the issue. I specifically stated go down. I was quoted $500 for the repair and I did not feel that what they thought was the problem was going to fix the issue. I specifically stated that I did not want to spend more than $500 on that repair, being an old car and all, and if they thought there were going to be additional expenses, not to do the repair. They assure me that this would fix it and gave me a written estimate. After spending a week in the sop, I got a call from BMW that the car was ready. I was just about to pay when I thought I should try it first. So we went to the car and the first thing I noticed was a puncture hole in the rear window (it is plastic). Of course, they told me that they did not do it but I know there was no hole when I took the car in. Next, we tried to lower the top and that did not work. You would have thought that they'd try it before calling me. Anyway, I have to wait another 3 days before I could talk to the manager, who told me they will see what more was needed and give me a call. He never called, so I did and was told that the car needed another $3100 to be fixed. That is strange because the whole roof can be bought online for $650. So, I told them that there was mo way I was going to pay that and we agreed that I pay for the parts they used and some labor, which was $317. So now I feel like I paid $317 for them to put a hole in my window and the top still does not go down. Although the staff is very peasant to talk to, my car is actually worse than before I took it in. I will not recommend that dealership. More
