Trust Yelp reviews over google. These are BS. Stay away from here! Brought our car in for a recall repair and a software update. Neither of which would prompt a tech to drive the car afterwards. Drove off from here! Brought our car in for a recall repair and a software update. Neither of which would prompt a tech to drive the car afterwards. Drove off the lot and within 1 mile our car stopped accelerating, opened the hood and the charge pipe was clearly cracked and did not blow in the short distance that we drove it. Car was inspected before they worked on it and everything passed. After checking the mileage, we learned they drove just over 6 miles. Confirmed with a different dealership that those repairs would not prompt them to "test drive" the car after. After the service manager blatantly lied about the GM being in, we called and confirmed he was indeed in. When we showed up in the lobby, we could see him, he was right by the reception area and refused to see us. Horrible customer service and no accountability. My boyfriend is black and I can't help but think that they didn't want to help him because of that. He doesn't fit the demographic they want in their store so they don't feel inclined to do anything further. They'd rather attempt to take advantage of someone. When my mom spoke with the service manager he did nothing but belittle her and act as if she didn't know what she was talking about since she was a woman. Super condescending, gross behavior. More
TLDR: If your car is joy ride worthy, don't bring it in. Take pics of mileage in. I took my highly modified E92 M3 in for an airbag recall. I wasn't given paperwork at check in so I specifically asked for a printout of the current mileage. He got the keys from the car, ran it and gave me a printout. I was called after recall was completed 4 days later and asked how many miles were added, and was told only 1. When I finally got there 5 days after that, the mileage in and out on the paperwork also had a 1 mile difference. When I went to the car I saw it actually had 6 miles over the mileage in. I brought this to my adviser's attention and he said they test drive every car 6 miles (very untrue). I called BS. He asked how he could make it better. Service manager called me and said mileage in from key reading is 20 minutes old and recorded from my house (not true), and their test loop is 1 mile long, and only 1 mile was added to the car. I asked if that's true then why would recorded mileage after recall was completed 4 days later be 1 mile over mileage-in as that number HAD to be accurate, and that actual mileage at pickup 5 days after that was 5 miles over the recorded mileage-out. He said, "listen, no one wants to drive your old 2012 BMW". I said okay I don't want to argue anymore, thanks, bye. I never had a test drive after my first airbag recall, and no test drive was listed on the detailed repair sheet or on the recall bulletin. I never had mileage discrepancy from my key reading, or mileage-in / mileage-out numbers on any of my paperwork in the past. If anyone is taking my modded M3 out on a test drive then that's a Joy Ride. I take my BMW's for service here and purchased my last one from them, but I'm going to start driving the extra bit to take it to BMW of Escondido. More
Awefully unprofessional sales I am currently shopping for a new luxury sedan. Narrowed my choices down to a few models, BMW 540 being on top of the list. Contacted BMW Encinitas by I am currently shopping for a new luxury sedan. Narrowed my choices down to a few models, BMW 540 being on top of the list. Contacted BMW Encinitas by email to arrange for a test drive - got a response from the internet sales rep (Ardalan Afshar), explained to him EXACTLY what I am looking for, scheduled an appointment for 11:30am on Friday. Got a confirmation (several, actually, including one the day before). So far so good, right?.. When my wife, son and I arrived at the dealership at 11:20, there was no receptionist and a couple of sales reps around, seemingly helping other customers. I asked one of them to let our rep know that we are here. Suddenly at 11:34 I am getting an email from Ardalan, informing me that "he is very busy today, would would like to reschedule, since I am not buying a car today". I was floored. So unprofessional - I didn't know how to respond immediately! I politely replied that we are already at the dealership, and would appreciate if he asked someone else to show us the car - no response. After 15min additional waiting and wondering around, I ran into and explained the situation to another sales rep walking by. Again, reiterated that a test drive appointment was made in advance, and asked to send a different person to help me. After 10 more minutes another guy comes out, and tells me that in fact, they "DONT HAVE A 540 IN STOCK CURRENTLY, BUT IF ID LIKE I CAN DRIVE A 540e". At this point I don't know if I should laugh in his face or kill someone. I manage to politely inform him that "540e" doesn't exist (and that I'm not interested in 530e hybrid) and hand him a printout of THEIR stock that I got from this dealership website an hour ago, showing TWO 540is available. He goes back to check, and after 10 more minutes comes out to tell me, that one of the cars is currently being used as an executive loaner (driven by the manager's wife), and another one - get this - "oh but that one is located at another lot" (!!!!!) After this it was clear that nothing would be happeneing, so we just stormed off their grounds and drove away. So to summarize: 1. After knowing exactly the model I was interested in, the car in question was not made available for test drive. 2. The internet rep is completely unprofessional. Who tries to reschedule an existing appointment, when the customer is already there?? Furthermore, refuses to show his face or respond to futher communication? 3. Unless you are absolutely ready to buy the car on the spot, they will treat you like trash. The moral of the story: there are so many BMW dealerships in SoCal - do yourself a favor -go somewhere/anywhere else but BMW of Encinitas! More
Bait and Switch, tried selling us tires to replace brand new tires, damaged the cars paint, etc. Matt the Service Manager should be in a Federal Pen, a total sleeze ball who engages is shaddy business pract new tires, damaged the cars paint, etc. Matt the Service Manager should be in a Federal Pen, a total sleeze ball who engages is shaddy business practices. When we Documented all of his multiple Acts of deceit to the GM Darrin, Darrin too was as dishonest and deceitful as a Crookitician within the DNC's Organized Crime Syndication like Adam ShiftforBrains or Eric Swallows. So unless you are mentally unstable and get off on getting ripped off, never buy a car or have your car serviced at BMW of Encinitas. Oh, both Darrin and Matt told us; "we are not BMW." xxx? BMW logo's everywhere yet they both don't think they are BMW? Those two are a disgrace to the BMW Brand. More

I came here because they had the car I wanted in the color I liked. 4/27 I swapped out my old lease at Encinitas. All miles over were to be washed away, there was no balance to be carried onto my new deal. Over the next couple months I continued getting calls from BMW financial saying my old vehicle was not out of my name. I contacted my sales rep (Esan) 2-3 times regarding this issue, the last was 6/24 when I received a notice from the DMV. I was again assured by Esan this was taken care of. Then last week I start getting phone calls from a DEBT COLLECTOR. Telling me I owe over $1000 to BMW financial. I am livid, this has ruined my day. I have never experienced such incompetence from a "premium brand" like this. I HIGHLY recommend going to ANY BMW dealership except this one! I will never do business here again. More
Everything about this dealership is awful I came in to buy a car and literally could not find a salesperson. I called the sales department and told them I was standing in the building and wou I came in to buy a car and literally could not find a salesperson. I called the sales department and told them I was standing in the building and would like to buy a car. The response was annoyance and the guy was on his cell phone the entire time I was trying to get information on the cars. I bought a $50K a week later and definitely not from this place after that experience. I have another BMW that I brought in for service. The issue had been diagnosed by 2 other shops and I brought it to BMW because it was covered under warranty. The dealership made it incredibly hard to just get the car in for service and treated me very poorly when I showed them the BMW literature that showed the warranty coverage, like its an annoyance to do warranty work? Not sure. The service rep couldn't understand what was needed after talking to the technician and it was impossible to get straight information. They also insisted that I needed a software update after I told them multiple times that I don't care if the map is outdated, etc. I searched online through the BMW site and found the updates available for my VIN - all were for ConnectedDrive enhancements, which I don't care enough about to pay $400 for an update. I would rather deal with a cable company or spend a week at the dentist than go back to this place...its that bad. More
Lied about Service to Sell the Full Maintenance Warranty! It would cost of about $3,000.!" So, we said we didnot want the deal then. We proceeded to leave, and of course they came back with a deal on the maintenance, which would cover the breaks at the 3k service. So fast forward 2 years, I made my appointment at El Cahon BMW to get my brake service. Guess what! They never heard of a mandatory 30K mile brake service that was mandatory. Not only do I NOT need brakes, but that can't do a brake job is they are not worn enough for BMW to cover. So we were LIED to and dished out $1,000 for a warranty we didn't need! The slaes Mrg Justin Beck said he would talk to the Gm and send us a $1,000 refund if it turns out the finance mrg. did tell us that! Anthony Razzouki now is a mrg. at another dealer and they could call & confirn. Justin Beck assured us he would call us back in 1hour! Well we've been in voicemail purgatory for a week. We finally got through and of course they never would have said that. LIARS!!!!! More

When we got to finance to sign papers, make down payment, we were told specifically by Mr. Anthony Razzouki that we must have a full brake job done at 30,000 miles if it needs it or not. Cost to be in excess of $3,000. We said "nope" and walked out the door. We almost made it to our car when Justin Beck the sales manager said he had an alternative that would make us happy and so we returned to the finance department. Mr. Razzouki told us that if we purchased a extended service warranty, that it would include the mandatory 30,000 mile brake job. We really loved the car so we agreed to the addition of the add on warranty for the cost to us of $1,000. So.... We hit our 30,000 miles. We took our car to have the brakes replaced to El Cajon BMW. Had an appointment, loaner, everything set up. The service writer told us that the brakes were still fine, a lot of life left and they can not redo the brakes. When we told him what Mr. Razzouki had told us that it was MANDATORY, he laughed and said "this is the second one in two days where they were told by Encinitas BMW the same exact story! A mandatory 30,000 mile brake job. Now, mad as xxxx, we tried to call Encinitas BMW and after about 20 minutes and several redials, we were able to speak with Justin Beck. The sales manager. He totally denied that this was their policy. With my wife on the line, we both told him without question that we were told this was a mandatory brake job at 30,000 miles. He promised me if that were the case, and he found out we were told that, he would cut us a check that day for a refund of $1,000 on the purchase of the extended services warranty. We waited the whole rest of the day for him to call us back as promised, to no avail. Call back two days later! Spoke with Mr. Beck! Gave us some lame excuse as to why he hadn't called us back and we where then told by Mr. Beck that he was going to speak with his GM and he "promised" to call us back no less than one hour.....another lie! No call back. That was on a Friday. Called on Monday, today, he is off. So, after several calls, attempts, trying to reach the GM, Darren, never being connected to either him in person or his voicemail, I gave up. Next call is to my friend "Consumer Bob" on channel 7 local San Diego. Also this review More

Second one sighing and mak Service agents make you feel like you’re putting them out just to get scheduled. Blown off by 1st one to dead end transfer. Second one sighing and making like asking for an appointment and needing a loaner is an unreasonable request. Phone system runs you around with recordings so can’t even get back in to talk to a manager who likely won’t care either. Don’t go here. More
