Marcel didn't have any knowledge of vehicle; I came home and YouTube everything. The salesperson was very nice, I believe personal knew this and didn't send no one out with more knowledge than him. I had a service for my 2024 I5. I was impressed by the dealership when I saw it, but never actually went there for anything before. Admittedly, I was 10 minutes late for my appointm I was impressed by the dealership when I saw it, but never actually went there for anything before. Admittedly, I was 10 minutes late for my appointment. I did try to call and let them know (more on that later). Anyhow, upon arrival, The service people went to cars that arrived behind me in both the "check in lanes". I waited for about 5 minutes and still not even a "we'll be with you soon". Frustrated, I went inside and asked someone for help. I asked for my service writer, and apparently, he was nowhere to be found, so I waited...38 minutes from the time I entered the dealership to when another service writer finally got to me. So, about the phone...apparently their phone tree disconnect people when making a selection for service. I told the girl who answered and she instructed me to call Autonation, the owner of the dealership. Her response and attitude left a lot to be desired. Picking up the car the next day was no better. Again, waited to be waited on and finally caught the attention of one of the guys working the service drive. I asked to speak to my service advisor about the car, and was bluntly told, "he's very busy and can't see you". WOW, is all I can say. This was 3 days ago. I did leave a message for the service director Matt Van Lierup (spelling), but never heard anything back. Maybe the response was to do this review that they sent me as a follow up? Sad how we got treated-we were all ready to get an X5 to add to the garage. Rethinking that now. BMW Carlsbad, get it together. More
