Honestly, I thought I came here to buy my dream car. The dealing with the first guy was really annoying. Jake/John... seems cool at first, but he was a dick. Obviously I never agreed on anything at first an dealing with the first guy was really annoying. Jake/John... seems cool at first, but he was a dick. Obviously I never agreed on anything at first and kept trying to negotiate with him about the pricing. I ended up agreeing to pay $1k over mark up so he can make his stupid money which already sucks and dealt with Jeremy after to close up the sale which made me feel much better. Overall, I will never trust dealerships. Although I paid over the msrp sticker, I would never deal with the John/Jake again. Jeremy has a better vibe. But honestly, after buying the car,I feel like I got ripped on the extended warranty. The fact that I realized I paid over $5600 for an extra 3 years 28k miles addition, they straight ripped me off. Everyone that I know and they charged my brother who bought an M3 comp at the same dealership is less than 3500. I really got screwed and it was my fault signing that purchase. There's nothing lovely about buying the car because they say they'll give you the deal, but I got robbed. Upon that, John/Jack messed up my contract and redo my contract the next day by having me sign for the wrong vin #car that wasn't available. He shared his negativity that he had to drive up to me and I didn't like his attitude. It wasn't like I had to drive over 2 hours for the car. I can't express how poor this kid handled the situation after I said it's fine. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm only mentioning this because he further made me hate my buying experience with the poor attitude he carried. More
Not good. Basically as abysmal an experience I could imagine. Bought a car a couple weeks ago. -Was there about 3+ hours. -They added two extra care packages which I didn’t want. (About $450 imagine. READ ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS DEALERSHIP FULL OF LOW-LIFE SCAMMERS AND STAY AWAY! We have been buying and leasing our cars from Irvine BMW for over 10 years but needed to work with the Encinitas loc LOW-LIFE SCAMMERS AND STAY AWAY! We have been buying and leasing our cars from Irvine BMW for over 10 years but needed to work with the Encinitas location since they were the only somewhat local dealership that had the specs we wanted in an X7. After 2 days of negotiating over the phone, we came into this dealership ready to purchase. It was so awkward from the moment we arrived. There was no reception area or anyone to talk to in sight so we sent a text to the sales associate we had been working with. He eventually came out to meet us and briefly introduced himself to my husband and didn't even acknowledge me even though he and I had been conversing over the last couple of days. Then he immediately asks my husband to sign off on pricing before even asking if we wanted to see the car. xxx? This was pretty much how the whole situation unfolded. The whole time it seemed we were a bother to them and they were doing us a favor. F-THAT... we walked away and we are happy to go back to a proper dealership like Irvine BMW where everyone is respectful, courteous, and professional. Based on the horrible reviews I've read about this dealership, these snakes were trying to screw us over with a deal that was too good to be true. We just dodged a bullet! More
My complaint is against BMW Encinitas Dealership. They have my car, title & vessel transfer documents since 1/20/2021, As of today 3/1/2021, I not been paid the value of $26,000.00 as agreed upon. I have spoken to Justin the General Sales manager & he does not respond. The salesman handling the transaction John "Jack" Silverwood has an excuse for everything, never follows up or communicates. Another excellent visit to Encinitas BMW service. Byron laid out the red carpet again and kept us regularly updated on the status of our car. I will never go anywhere else. This dealership takes "unethical car salesmen" to a whole new level. After the birth of our son, my husband and I wanted a slightly bigger car so when he was around 5 weeks old we purchased a used Acura RDX new level. After the birth of our son, my husband and I wanted a slightly bigger car so when he was around 5 weeks old we purchased a used Acura RDX from BMW of Encinitas. It was advertised as having the "technology package" which has a number of safety features. We asked the salesman, Schuyler, about lane keep assist, lane departure warning, collision mitigation braking system, etc.and he just responded, "I don't know anything about this car and how those features work, but I know this car has all of those safety features - it is fully equipped."...we asked him to double check with someone more knowledgable about the vehicle since he admitted he didn't know anything about it and couldn't demo or point out those features for us - which were a big factor in getting this particular vehicle - and he went inside, asked a manager, and came back out to confirm that yes this car is fully equipped with all safety features I had previously listed. We purchased the vehicle. Fast forward three weeks (sleepless ones with our newborn) and I finally get around to reviewing the owner's manual to program those safety features. I come to find out they are not in this vehicle. I feel incredible deceived so I call the dealership and speak with Steve, a manager. I asked Steve to refund the vehicle, credit us back a few thousand for pricing the car higher than it is worth since it does not have those features, or add on a warranty for free. Steve refuses and raises his voice at me, saying it is my fault for not verifying what Schuyler told me was accurate. I said I didn't realize it was standard practice to straight up lie to consumers about features in a vehicle. Steve would not comment on that but kept raising his voice and placing the blame on me. Avoid this dealership, especially Schuyler and Steve, and face check 100% of things you hear here - they will lie straight to your face. More
I went to buy a used car then took it to a certified mechanic for pre-purchase inspection. When I went back to show the result and discuss a deal the Junior sales person (Clark) got annoyed with me that mechanic for pre-purchase inspection. When I went back to show the result and discuss a deal the Junior sales person (Clark) got annoyed with me that I was not jumping to buy the car right away. His words: "I came today on my day off to sell this car!", "Why do you want this car, this is not the right car for you!". Then went to talk to sales manager Steve Sawyer, came back and said: "Sales manager says you should go buy the new car for $200K!". I own several luxury cars including BMWs and I can't believe this dealership treats their customers like that. More
Byron at BMW Encinitas service center is amazing. As soon as I got there he had a loaner ready to go. Within a couple of hours he had emailed me all of the estimates. Since I had just bought the car as soon as I got there he had a loaner ready to go. Within a couple of hours he had emailed me all of the estimates. Since I had just bought the car as CPO he gave me a nice discount on a part that wasn’t covered under warranty. His communication throughout the process was outstanding More
