My recent experience of purchasing/leasing a BMW at the Encinitas dealership was disappointing, but later was redeeming with a sales representative (Matt) who helped me on a subsequent day. The intention of this review is to provide some feedback to hopefully assist the dealership improve its customer sales and service. My initial experience upon arriving to learn about BMW vehicles was that the sales representative was friendly but more interested on selling me a car. He did not seem too concerned in explaining why BMWs are good vehicles. He also appeared to show little interest in learning what I wanted in a vehicle. I felt his intentions seemed to be limited toward getting me into a car that was only in their inventory. Ultimately, I did find a vehicle I liked in their inventory and we were able to find sales "numbers" that worked for both sides. Then came the financing experience. Ugh! It was painfully awkward as their representative desperately tried to sell me a protection plan. When I showed her there was no financial benefit to some of her examples and said I wasn't interested, she relentlessly would try again. It made the entire transaction very uncomfortable. I'd never experienced that level of sales pressure, but I hope my comments here serve as constructive criticism. I had to come back three days later to get help on understanding the technology of my new BMW and was met by Matt, who very knowledgable about my car. He took ample time to answer all my questions, even downloaded the BMW app. to my phone and helped personalize the set up. Matt was very courteous and a great representative of the dealership, making my subsequent experience an excellent one. More
Very poor communication on service advisor's part (Keith). Car was promised to be completed (wheel alignment) in 4-5 hours and was brought in with an appointment in the morning. No communication, had to chase service advisor myself multiple times. Not the service level I would expect from BMW dealership. More
Arrived for my appointment on time (10:30 am on Tuesday7th)). Appointment was for a recall, PVC valve replacement. I had made appointment the prior week. The car was returned at 5:30 on the 9th of February. That is approximately 48 hours after appointment. I think there is an opportunity for improvement. Your scheduling software is not providing a good customer experience. Steve More
