I recently purchased my second BMW from Ryan Amico @ Steve Thomas BMW in Camarillo and the entire process was swift, easy and hassle-free. Just out of curiosity, I emailed Ryan to see how my trade-in BMW would translate into buying a newer vehicle. I really was not looking into buying another vehicle as I still had existing payments on my old one. It was a Thursday when I had emailed Ryan and he quickly responded back within 15-30 minutes. To me, that is huge when someone (as busy as Ryan is) responds so quickly to client emails. Online, we conversed back and forth with numbers, procedures and so forth. Ryan was very up front and he wanted to make sure I understood how my trade-in worked and how that would play out in the later months. The next day (Friday), I emailed Ryan to see if he had a slot open for me to come check out the vehicle and perhaps take a test drive. Again, he quickly replied back and we set up an appointment. Mind you - I was going to just see the car and I was not going to make any decisions that day. I loved the BMW I was already driving and I really didn't have a reason to look into another vehicle. After the test drive, we sat in his office and talked more about the vehicle, financing, and what everyone is normally concerned about...monthly payments. During the whole process, Ryan was honest, up front, and non-aggressive. Eventually, we were able to work out a deal where my new payments on the newer BMW just came out a little higher than what I was already paying with the older BMW. Steve Thomas BMW is lucky to have Ryan Amico as an Internet Sales Manager and I'm glad that I was able to work with him. If anyone is looking (or not looking, like I was) for a BMW, you need to talk to Ryan. It doesn't matter where you live because Ryan Amico will make it happen. My family has purchased multiple BMWs from Steve Thomas, and when it came to purchasing my own I couldn't think of going anywhere else. I worked with a couple salesman that just did not seem to want my bus and when it came to purchasing my own I couldn't think of going anywhere else. I worked with a couple salesman that just did not seem to want my business and almost threw in the towel (this is why my overall experience is rated a 4/5). We made one final attempt, and finally spoke with Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas. Ryan was absolutely fantastic, and is the reason I would recommend this dealership to anyone else looking for a BMW at a great price, with great customer service. Ryan made the test drive, vehicle showing, and car purchase completely pleasant, and even fun. I live in L.A., and at the time, I wasn't considering driving fifty miles to buy a BMW, especially since there is a BMW dealership literally walking distance from my office. By the end of that first day, Ryan's was the quote to beat, and I had already decided that due to the friendly straightforward volley of e-mails we exchanged, that I wouldn't use his quote to negotiate elsewhere. When I expressed my hesitation about the distance, Ryan also offered to deliver the car to me at my home or office if I preferred. Ryan had the car I wanted in stock, but then I discovered (from him) that the car with the exact specs I wanted (a slightly unusual combination) was being delivered to a dealership in Northern California and he could get it for me by the weekend if I wanted it. To make a long story a little shorter, I picked up the car last weekend, spent at least two hours with Ryan who explained every feature in detail and answered every question. I test drove it, my boyfriend drove it, Ryan even paired my phone to it. And he was as delightful and informed as he had appeared to be via e-mail. The car is exactly what I wanted and I LOVE it. And the hundred miles round trip was well worth it. More

The entire process was simple and pain free. Price was fair and he went the extra mile to retrieve an item left in my trade-in. I recommend this dealer and in particular Chris Knutson. Car was ready when I arrived to see/drive, and once the decision was made to purchase, the paperwork and readying the car went as quickly as possible. Ryan is an awesome person, not just a salesman. He made me feel extremely comfortable in purchasing another a vehicle (I was torn in getting rid of my previous BMW)and I felt no pressure. Then you go to Steve Thomas BMW where perception of the car buying experience is blown out of the water. For me, what set the Steve Thomas BMW team apart from every other dealership is the quality of people I worked with. Couple this with the fact they beat the best deal on the market and this was THE BEST car buying experience for me and THE BEST experience my friends have ever heard of. Erik Schroeder was my initial contact. He was flexible and willing to work with me to ensure that both sides got an equitable deal. The day I went to pick up my car, I came in earlier than expected and to make sure I didn't have to wait he helped out his staff in prepping the car. That was above and beyond my expectations and truly appreciated. Though I never met Chris Knutson, he answered all of my questions over the phone. This took place towards closing time and never once did I feel rushed. His answers were very thorough and value added. I worked with Ryan Amico to close the deal and it was the smoothest discussion I've ever been a part of. Up front, honest, and very fair. Very helpful. After the deal was closed Ryan took the time to show my Dad how the I-drive worked. This is something my Dad spoke highly of, because he's never experienced this level of service. No pressure. No ego. No games. Extremely helpful service/assistance. The ST's team's main goal was to make sure that I was as comfortable as possible and ensure that all my needs were met. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They're simply levels above other dealerships and an example to be followed. I strongly recommend that you not waste your time with anyone else. They pro-actively maintain an open line of communication for anything and everything after I drove off the lot. For me, the 80 mile one way commute to close the deal was worth every second. The next car I buy will be another BMW and it will be from Steve Thomas because of the exceptional customer experience provided by Erik, Chris, and Ryan. Ask for them and they'll take care of you. My wife and I are BMW enthusiasts, so Chris is the person we turn to anytime we are in the market. The process is simple; Chris is no-nonsense and gives you the best deal available. He's patient, answers all your questions, and keeps you regularly updated with the status of your car. (Both leases were special builds, built to my specs, so Chris keeps you well-informed of your purchase). Not enough good things to say. Professional, easy to work with and customer focused. The folks at Bob Smith BMW are the biggest "bait and switch" BMW dealership in the country! I can write an entire book on why to STAY AWAY from Bob Smith BMW, however, I am not one to focus on the negative (so lets get started with my positive experience). If you want the BEST PRICE and a salesmen to treat you like a Family Member, chose Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas BMW (located in Camarillo, CA). Even if you are not located by their dealership, they will safely ship the car to YOUR home (if you want)! When I say BEST PRICE, I truly mean that. He will beat any price offered by any BMW Dealership. In fact, in my case he beat the price by saving me a few hundred dollars per month! That is right... a few hundred dollars per month!
