This might be one of the least professional businesses I've ever dealt with, and is certainly the least professional car dealership I've dealt with. I showed up, on several hours notice, to most likely p I've ever dealt with, and is certainly the least professional car dealership I've dealt with. I showed up, on several hours notice, to most likely purchase a 2007 Chevy Avalanche from this dealership. They hand me the keys and tell me to go drive it. I get in, and there is fast food trash in the back seat and coffee stains on the front dash and front seats. The gas gauge is barely above E, and the mileage is 1000 miles higher than what was advertised. Despite reservations, I was still interested in the vehicle, and ended up purchasing the vehicle. Within 1 day, I realized 2 tires had leaks and as is would need air every few days. Within 2 days, I had a dead battery. Eventually one of the tires completely gave out and went completely flat. At the time I had no way of pumping it up, so I went to put on the spare, but the tool kit to lower and change the spare is nowhere to be found. As 1 month approached and my temporary tags were about to expire, I still had not received my title. I repeatedly called 2 different lines, 1 for the salesman I dealt with (Jeff), and 1 for their title office, and despite leaving multiple voicemails, no one ever called me back. I then tried to contact them via email, which they did respond to. This was on Friday, and my tags were set to expire on Sunday. Christine said she was getting my title that day and overnighting it to me. This turned out to be a lie. I did not receive my title on time and was forced to drive with expired temporary tags for a day. And when they did come in, they had not been overnighted. And throughout the email exchange, I never got as much as a token apology for them waiting until the last second to change my title over. I would steer far clear of this dealership. Their prices are attractive at first glance, but not once you dig a little deeper. Their service and quality are both very poor. More
I recently purchased a 2003 BMW 5 series from Autos Direct Online because the car appeared to be in excellent cosmetic condition and had low mileage. Before I was able to test drive the vehicle, the c Direct Online because the car appeared to be in excellent cosmetic condition and had low mileage. Before I was able to test drive the vehicle, the car wouldn’t start because the battery was dead. This is understandable if the vehicle has been sitting for a while. After someone from the dealership jump started the car, during the test drive, I noticed the ride became very bumpy at highway speeds (55-65 mph). I was concerned that this might be a mechanical problem, but the dealer, Juan, insisted that the tires just needed to be balanced. He said that the battery would definitely need to be replaced too, because he didn’t want me to become stranded when I drove car back home and he would pay for both services. I asked what kind of battery he would use, because I prefer OEM parts as opposed to aftermarket ones. He said that he would supply a battery that fits, one from Advance Auto Parts, for example, because “A battery is a battery, whether it’s Duracell or Energizer.” Because he offered to fix these two issues, I decided to go ahead and purchase the vehicle. At that point, I tried to negotiate the price, but he said, “C’mon, we are throwing in a new battery and tire balancing for free” and that he only made like $2000 per car. I still accepted the offer and drove the car home a few hundred miles with no problems. A few days later, the car wouldn’t start; the battery was completely dead. I opened the trunk to check the battery and was surprised to find the white, Exide OEM BMW battery. At this point, I thought, maybe there was a misunderstanding and maybe the dealer or mechanic forgot to replace the battery. I contacted the dealer via email and called him the next day. He said he would reply to my email later that day and look into this. That email never came. I tried calling him, but he wouldn’t answer my calls or voicemails. He wouldn’t respond to my second email, with photographic evidence showing the original battery and the reading that it was bad. I even tried contacted Autos Direct Online through their online chat feature. As soon as I brought up the issue I was having, the representative with whom I was chatting with did not respond. I would also like to add that their website is filled with inaccurate statements. For example, their “About Us” page says all their vehicles are stored in a climate-controlled and secure 10,000 square-foot warehouse until sold. This is completely false; I found all their vehicles in an outdoor parking lot covered under half a foot of snow. The website claims that they include an “accurate, forthright representation of that particular vehicle in our descriptions, including any defects or flaws.” The car I purchased had a defective trunk latch (unable to open trunk from inside the vehicle or using the key fob). It says all their vehicles are inspected by an independent, certified technician. If this were true, then the technician did not run a battery test or certainly would have caught this issue before the car were sold. Finally, the website states that all vehicles are driven by Autos Direct Online as a quality control measure. Either no one bothered to test drive the vehicle on the highway or the standards for test driving the vehicle don’t include highway speeds. The bottom line is that this is a dishonest dealer that only cares about profit margin (he said it himself when he said they only make like $2000 per car). There were multiple instances in which the dealer assured me that the battery had been replaced, but he cannot even confirm this with a work order or invoice, and in addition, refuses to respond to my inquiries. I know the dealership is probably going to respond with a statement saying something along the lines of we satisfy X amount of customers per month and can’t satisfy everyone. This does not excuse them from mistreating a few select customers. I can understand quirks of buying a used vehicle (the dealer said “You’re getting a used car, bro,” in response to me having to replace the wiper blades), but when the dealer flat out lies in front of my face, this is truly unacceptable. I don’t know any kind of business where this would be an acceptable business practice. P.S. It took them almost four weeks to mail me the title to the vehicle, which was barely enough time to register it in my state before the temporary plate expired. More

All of the sales reps that we came in contact with were great, as soon as we pulled in the lot they were there to help us. They were very easy to find, and only a few miles off of two main freeways. Recently my wife and I bought a 2006 Nissan Altima from Dave at Autos Direct Online. We saw the car online and went to their location to look at it. We just walked in off the street. I guess we should have called and made an appointment, but it didn’t really matter as Dave was very helpful. We got a great car at a great price and the transaction was hassle free. I started the process on the 6th of December and finally received the car on the 30th only because I did the leg work and hired my own shipping company. I was quoted one rate and term to get a deposit fro received the car on the 30th only because I did the leg work and hired my own shipping company. I was quoted one rate and term to get a deposit from me and then told that I could only do a shorter term or higher rate. I took the shorter term but when the paperwork came my interest rate was increased and the terms were shorter. I was misled in terms of shipping and when I could receive the vehicle along with many other items listed below. Scratches – the car and 3 large scratches that are deeper than surface scratches and should have been disclosed to me. I was told nothing more than minor scratches from normal wear and tear on a 5 year old car. This is not the case at all. Smell – the car has a very strong smoke smell that I cant remove – I've had it detailed, used fabreeze and baking soda and it still smells like smoke. My kids complain about headaches from the smell its so strong – there are cigarettes burns in the carpet, floor mats and on two of the seats. Again nothing was disclosed to me about this at all. Stains – there were 50 some photos online but not one that showed the red stains that are is several spots on the carpet and most of the floor mats. Again this needs to be disclosed instead of hidden from the buyer. Arm Rest – Passenger side armrest is missing a cap so the interior foam is exposed and it give the car and unfinished look- pretty minor in term of cost but a pain in the butt to find not disclosed. Rear DVD – the rear dvd player can only be turned on by a remote, the remote was missing the battery and battery case so the dvd player doesn't work unless you purchase a new remote for a few hundred dollars or rig something together, again this is not what I was expecting or what I thought I had purchased. Upon driving the car the it occasionally slips out of gear and is very dangerous and only after 200 miles the check engine light and VSC off light and VSC trac light came on- I took the car in and was told they are all transmission error codes and i have the documentation for the repair shop to be covered by the 30 day 3000 mile warranty but I cant even get anyone to call me back. besides the transmission, this is what they found Other items that came up include the Steering Rack which is leaking pretty substantially and will cost 951.94 to replace. The car has a lot of rust covering all un-coated areas of the vehicle and the timing belt needs to be replace although it is not currently failing. They have been awful to work with, my advise is to stay away. More
If you are considering buying a used car from Autos Direct Online, I would advise you to use great caution, given my recent experience with this company. Also, don't fall for the obviously phony positi Direct Online, I would advise you to use great caution, given my recent experience with this company. Also, don't fall for the obviously phony positive reviews that Autos Direct Online surrogates post. I bought a 2005 MINI Cooper S from Autos Direct Online on November 28, 2012. The cost was about $10K, minus what I was given for my trade-in. We test drove the car, and it seemed to perform well. It had about 68,000 miles and a clean CarFax. However, as soon as I drove the car home to Michigan, it started to act up. The Service Engine warning light came on, and the car suddenly went into "limp mode," meaning that it operated at reduced power and would not go faster than 20 MPH. Restarting the car would temporarily solve the issue, but the problem continued to recur intermittently, making it hazardous to drive. I took the car to a MINI dealership in Michigan, and, after several trips and $400 worth of diagnostic testing, the mechanics eventually determined that car needed two major electronic modules replaced - at a cost of nearly $3500. Interestingly, the mechanics found that the car had been repainted after some body work was done on it. Of course, this was not in the Carfax, since whoever performed the work did not enter the information into the vehicle reporting system. The mechanics told me that a car having a clean Carfax is no guarantee that the car has not suffered serious problems. Shortly after I first experienced problems with the car, I informed my salesperson at Autos Direct Online - named Juan Rosario. He told me: "If there is a major problem with the car, we will take care of you." I interpreted his statement to mean that Autos Direct Online would take the car back and either refund my money or offer the option to select another vehicle they had in stock. I continued to keep Juan Rosario informed about the car - through calls and emails. When the MINI mechanics finally pinpointed the major electronic problems, Juan Rosario requested documentation of the problems and cost. I immediately sent him the documentation. Juan Rosario said he needed to talk to the owners, but assured me that I would get an answer soon and that something would be done to correct the situation. Juan Rosario never did get back to me with an answer. I called regularly to see what the owners said. When I did get Juan Rosario on the phone, he would say that owners have not had the chance to review my case yet. I suspected that Juan Rosario was stringing me along, but still hoped we could resolve this situation amicably. Two weeks after I sent Juan Rosario documentation of the major problems, he ceased communicating with me entirely. He would not pick up my calls, or reply to voicemails, texts or emails. I copied the owner of Autos Direct Online, Vince Hugo, and the Sales Manager, Sean Nightingale. They, too, were unresponsive. I am not sure how I am going to proceed now about the car and whether I will pursue other options to get Autos Direct Online to do the right thing. The options in Ohio for a used car bought "As is" seem limited. But one thing I am certain of: Autos Direct Online is not a trustworthy company and I regret ever having dealt with them. I am not one to write reviews, but I feel that it is important to inform others who might be considering buying from Autos Direct Online. The car that Autos Direct Online sold me was not only defective, but actually turned out to be dangerous - jeopardizing my (and my passenger's) safety when it suddenly acted up. I don't know if Autos Direct Online knew about the defect when they sold me the car. If they did, then their business practices are utterly unconscionable. If they did not, their failure to correct the situation and honor their word makes them unscrupulous. I may have thought that I was getting a good deal on a used car at Autos Direct Online. However, the cost of now repairing the car makes it a very bad deal, by all standards. If you are considering a car at Autos Direct Online, I would strongly advise against it. For your own safety and the sake of your pocketbook, avoid the mistake I made. More

This is not your usual dealership. This is a very fast paced operation. You need to know what you are looking for and the value and price you want to pay for that vehicle. It is up to you to take responsi paced operation. You need to know what you are looking for and the value and price you want to pay for that vehicle. It is up to you to take responsibility for what you are buying. You do have the option to take it to a mechanic and I would recommend purchasing a warranty to cover yourself. Expect a very “light” inspection and cleaning of the vehicle. They do not deal with tires other than air and do not change fluids other than topping them off. Do not assume anything and do not expect a detailed, worry free vehicle, remember it is used. You will get a nice vehicle at a great price that may need some work and T.L.C. but you will still be ahead of the game in the end. Dan L. and the staff were very helpful, the financing was effort free, and they did fix a few things while I waited. ED, who picked me up at the airport, was a great guy and eased the stress of the unknown. I would, and have recommended A.D.O. to family and friends adding that they follow the above advice. We are happy with the ‘06 Cadillac xxx Northstar AWD and now that the “bugs” have been worked out I feel we are money ahead even with the added expenses. We will do business with Auto Direct Online for future purchases Regards, Greg Smith. More
