We had a great experience from start to finish when we leased our 2023 XC40 Recharge from Ardavan and his team at Auto Nation San Jose. He was straightforward in our initial email communications, didn't g leased our 2023 XC40 Recharge from Ardavan and his team at Auto Nation San Jose. He was straightforward in our initial email communications, didn't give us the runaround, offered competitive pricing, and helped us secure our new, beloved XC40 Recharge. We went to the dealership to finish the paperwork and pick up our car. We were disappointed when we were told that we'd have to come back in a few days to pick up our new car because a software update was necessary. It would've been better to have been told that before we drove from SF to SF so we could've just picked up our new car on the day that it would be ready. Besides that, we had an overall great experience and will definitely give our business again in the future if they keep it up. More
My experience was extremely disappointing. First, the sales associate I made an appointment with declined to see me, pushing me to someone else. Then, even though I already knew which car I wa First, the sales associate I made an appointment with declined to see me, pushing me to someone else. Then, even though I already knew which car I wanted and made a decision within 30 minutes of arriving at the dealership, the process afterward took 4+ hours. I was told repeatedly that "no one else was ahead of me" and that I would be out "within an hour." That was not true. The finance associate I was supposed to see pushed me to someone else (again). After I finally saw a finance guy willing to help, I was told that "actually I couldn't take the car home" because it needed service and a software update. I needed to "rent" my old car and drive home, waiting 2 days before going back to the dealership. When I went back to finally pick up the new car, I was told that an exhaust sensor was defective and that the part needed to be replaced. I was given the choice to take the car home and come back later to get it installed, or wait an unspecified amount of time. I decided to take the car home. One week later, I get a call from the finance guy, who told me that oops they had sent me home with the WRONG PLATE AND REGISTRATION (it was for an entirely different vehicle). They said they would send someone to my home to give me the real plate and registration. However, that guy called at 9:00pm to see if he can come over; I had to say no because I was busy putting my kids to bed. I had to wait another day for them to fix their error. So now, it's been 2 weeks since the transaction. Although I finally have the car and the correct plate and registration, I still do not have the replacement exhaust sensor installed. I have to constantly email the dealership to check in (now they're saying it could take weeks). The sales associate I worked with seems to have little interest in being proactive in communicating with me or fixing or apologizing for the errors made by their dealership. Very disappointing. If this is how they treat a loyal customer, I shudder to think how they treat everyone else. More
I like the dealership a lot when I bought my car there. My XC90 got a regular maintance check up and s/w update requested by Volvo. The service manager was so kind and arranged promptly. Also sales manager who I bought my xc90 from, welcomed me a lot and helped requested by Volvo. The service manager was so kind and arranged promptly. In Sanjose volvo, they are always not only so kind but also provide the prompt, precise and on-time services well organized to the customers. Appreciate again. More
