I did not care for the no haggle price though, as I believe the price should of been a bit lower. Overall though it was great dealing with them, and would definitely recommend. More
The only good moments from my experience here were dealing with the salesman I really thought was extremely kind, not pushy and helpful. He does need a little more technical knowledge to convey how to dealing with the salesman I really thought was extremely kind, not pushy and helpful. He does need a little more technical knowledge to convey how to use features that I finally discovered on my own. I asked several times about an alert (a beep) when you back up and it’s close to another object and was told there wasn’t one. There was I found by accident! I was happy since I was already used to that on my 2014 Kia and could not believe a 2022 Toyota didn’t have that!!! That would be crazy considering all the other extremely helpful safety features it does have such as blind spot notifications and audible and sight warnings of approaching vehicles and/or pedestrians. So helpful in a larger vehicle than I’m used to driving. The other great thing was driving away in a really nice vehicle I hope to enjoy driving for years to come. On the flip side, the finance team were the equivalent of misogynistic team who seemed to emulate but fail acutely at an attempt at politeness…kind of like a person who lacks a conscience would to try to appeal to someone. I could have paid cash but wanted to take advantage of excellent interest rates through financing. I was appalled at the trade-in offer considering it was in very good condition and had never been in a crash or underwater. Admittedly, it had a lot of miles. Regardless, after the initial offer, we asked to see if they couldn’t give more than that. The “gentleman” on the finance team came back with just over $1,000 more. Still not satisfied, we decided to “sleep on the decision” and come back the next day. But not before trying again to see if they could give us a little better deal on the trade-in price.” The initial sales team member said he would ask the manager but not before using my own words against me. By this I mean that when I initially walked in on this day to pick up my new Hybrid after a down payment, one of the employees asked if I was there to pick up the new Hybrid in front of the office. I said yes and that I was very excited to get a vehicle that gets 40 miles of fuel to the gallon just after hearing on the news gas prices were increasing again and that lots more people were trying to buy hybrid or electric vehicles. I felt lucky to have it. I probably shouldn’t have said that to someone who worked there but was excited and I bought into their hype. The finance employee whom we later dealt with was nowhere in sight when I made that statement but obviously got this information later before I saw him enter the picture. He casually mentioned the fact that he “heard me” say a lot more people are all trying to get alternative fuel vehicles now. I was mortified to hear this remark and it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. They later brought in the sales manager who made it abundantly clear he would not negotiate another price on either trade-in or new car. We left and told them we would give them a decision the next day. We ultimately decided to sell to a vehicle wholesaler who offered a considerably better price for my used car. I checked the ratings after we left the first day before buying the car and saw the dealership in Fort Myers had single star ratings for a number of reasons. Ultimately, my advice is buy the car but never at this dealership. More
