It got weird I bought my car remotely from San Diego. Overall, the process was easy and straightforward. The car was transported from Palo Alto to San Diego within a few days of completing the purchase. 5 Stars to this point. Here is where it starts getting weird...the car arrived with almost 100 miles more than the purchase docs which showed 21 miles on the car. Since the car spent 2 nights in LA awaiting a smaller transport truck, there was some concern that my car may have been on a joy ride between purchase and delivery, so I asked the dealer about it. The dealer initially said that it was typical for that many miles to be added during transport to me. I called the transport company, they said nope, the car was loaded on the truck in Palo Alto then transferred to a smaller truck in LA, no driving. They went through the pickup pictures and determined that the dash pic taken for miles was on the wrong screen, so no miles at pickup were recorded by them. There were miles-to-empty numbers in the pics that suggested that the car had not been driven by the transport company. I reached back out to the dealer with this information and asked for clarification of the miles on the car when it was loaded on the truck. It took days and multiple follow-ups to finally get a response that the info on the purchase docs was probably wrong and that it was probable that the car left with that many miles based on mileage of other cars on the lot. Why it took so long to get that answer, not sure. Why the answer was initially that it was the transport company, not sure. Why there was no record of the miles when it was placed on the truck, not sure. Just weird. Then it gets weirder, I am billed 40% more for the transport of the car than what was quoted and what was confirmed would be charged. When I ask about it, the answer is simply that's what the bill came in at so that's what I am charged. So, in summary, had I purchased in Palo Alto and taken delivery of the car there, this would probably have been a 5 star rating. But I did not buy and pick up at the dealer and was left with about a week or so of anxiety worrying that my car had potentially gone for a joy ride topped off with a 40% up charge over the quoted transport cost. Could have all been handled so much better. More
I came in to the dealership to buy a car and I left with the car I wanted! My salesman David Young was so nice to work with - a really nice guy. Although this was not my first time doing business with Audi Palo Alto, I was quite upset by the whole situation this time. I went for a battery check since it needed jump start. After keeping the car for Audi Palo Alto, I was quite upset by the whole situation this time. I went for a battery check since it needed jump start. After keeping the car for 4 days just to check the battery, I was told that the it was bad and needs replacement and there was a oil leak on the engine, although it was 2.5 years old only and replaced at Audi Fremont and serviced the car 2 weeks earlier with them and they said battery was good and everything was fine with no oil leaks. Being doubtful, I got the car from them I took it to an independent mechanic to check the battery. Both the car computer and directly testing the battery itself indicated that the battery is healthy and doesn't need replacement!! The only reason the car needed a jump start was because it hasn't been driven regularly, so battery needed to be charged. I have the vehicle computer report indicates that the battery is healthy and only needs changing, not replacement. So, I am not sure how Audi Palo Alto came up with the replacement thing. I'm honestly quite upset about the whole thing. More

Service department doesn’t know meaning of the word. Upsold my son on unneeded repair. Unreachable during the day. Took 1 1/2 weeks for Repair. Missed many days of work waiting for a loaner vehicle only to have it break down 25 miles from home on a Sunday. It had to be tied back to the dealer while I had to order a L waiting for a loaner vehicle only to have it break down 25 miles from home on a Sunday. It had to be tied back to the dealer while I had to order a Lyft to get back home. By the time I was able to get another loaner I had missed many days of work. Got some pushback when I requested reimbursement for the ride home from the loaner car breakdown. Am still waiting for my $40 from the dealer. Really has turned me off of getting another Audi in the future. More
