Failed NY State inspection -Frustrated! I initially had my independent mechanic check why my check engine light was on. I have a 2012 Q7 TDI. He was able to assess my catalytic converter ne I initially had my independent mechanic check why my check engine light was on. I have a 2012 Q7 TDI. He was able to assess my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. It took him within 30 minutes to figure it out. He said to bring it to the dealer since it was under warranty. I live in Staten Island and I had bad experiences with Brooklyn Audi so I got a couple of recommendations to DCH. On purpose I did not tell them the problem. DCH said the car was ready after a few hours and the check engine light was due to a ECU recall. OK I thought maybe my mechanic was wrong but within 2 weeks the light came on again. This time I told them my mechanic said it was the cat.conv. and it took them 2 weeks just to diagnose it when it took 30 minutes for my guy to figure it out! So after a couple of days getting our car back it failed NY state inspection. I called our service rep. and he said to drive the car at least 150 miles to recycle the ecu. After 500 more miles it failed again. Brought the car back to DCH and they said the only way to clear the cycles was to drive it and they were going to use our vehicle! It's been over a month now they have had our car with no updates. I called today and spoke with service receptionist about trading our A4 loaner for a new Q7 loaner. It's the least they can do. She said she would have the loaner manager call me back but no calls so far! We just want our car to pass inspection and have it back! More
GREAT SERVICE David Mizera, Service Advisor was outstanding in giving a high priority in the analysis and repair of my 2010 Audi A6 which had overheated and "broke David Mizera, Service Advisor was outstanding in giving a high priority in the analysis and repair of my 2010 Audi A6 which had overheated and "broke down" on the New Jersey turnpike, Friday evening (November 11). My wife and I were driving from Boston to New York celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary (Nov.12) and were in great frustration having this mechanical "disaster" occur on what was supposed to be a fun-filled weekend. We had the car towed to DCH Millburn Audi on Friday evening approximately 6:30 PM. The next day I contacted David and he was very cooperative and considerate in assigning a high priority to getting the car fixed. There was a slight "set-back" in that the car required further work on Monday, but again, David was instrumental in getting the mechanic to get the car fully repaired and operational. As a result, the car was ready for pickup at approximately 2:00 PM on Monday, November 14 and my wife and I drove back to Boston safely with no further problems.
