I sent an inquiry about a car through their website. I received a reply back from Frank Kim (no issues with him, since it's clear he was simply following company protocol) asking me to come into the dea I received a reply back from Frank Kim (no issues with him, since it's clear he was simply following company protocol) asking me to come into the dealership in person. I replied back asking for a lease quote over email as there was "no sense in wasting anyone's time having my come into the dealership if we're too far apart on price to actually make a deal work." At this point Demetrio Miller the Sales Manager jumped in and doubled down on getting me to physically come into the dealership saying that: "I see your [sic] one of our neighbors and the best pricing will be provided store. I will also offer specials for customers like yourself in our primary marketing area." I replied back once again explaining that it wasn't an issue of distance, but of time, and what would happen if even their "best pricing" still wasn't good enough for me to pull the trigger? Would they be compensating me for the time I wasted by coming into their dealership when they could have simply emailed me a quote? Frank replied back: "If you feel that our offer is not good enough for you to pull the trigger, you will at least know what our best offer is." To which I plainly pointed out that "right, or you could just give me your best offer now, over email, and that way I would also know what your best offer is without potentially wasting my time." Apparently sales manager Demetrio takes issue with people calling out their B.S. through the application of simple logic because the next reply I received from him said this: "We will not be compensating you for your time. In fact would like to wish you a great day and much luck with your search for a vehicle. I don't appreciate the way you spoke to me or my salesman." I don't appreciate my time being wasted. They could have simply said in their second reply that they do not provide quotes outside of the four walls of their dealership and I would have moved on with my day. To be safe on the off chance that Demetrio was acting outside of standard practice and this wasn't a top down policy, I forwarded his email to the Acura of Sherman Oaks GM - Drew Holbrook. As I'm sure you can guess from the fact that I've gone ahead and written this review, I never heard back from him. Meaning the customer service I received is to be expected as that treatment is business as usual at Acura of Sherman Oaks. This is a Lithia Motors dealership so I've now gone so far as to cross check the Lithia website before sending any other dealer website inquiries to make sure I don't reach out to any of their other dealerships by mistake. Demetrio Miller was the added bonus that helped us walk away with the cutest Turbo Beetle ever for an amazing deal! We very much appreciate Frank and Demetrio for the great service! More
