I sent an inquiry about a car through their website. I received a reply back from Frank Kim (no issues with him, since it's clear he was simply following company protocol) asking me to come into the dea I received a reply back from Frank Kim (no issues with him, since it's clear he was simply following company protocol) asking me to come into the dealership in person. I replied back asking for a lease quote over email as there was "no sense in wasting anyone's time having my come into the dealership if we're too far apart on price to actually make a deal work." At this point Demetrio Miller the Sales Manager jumped in and doubled down on getting me to physically come into the dealership saying that: "I see your [sic] one of our neighbors and the best pricing will be provided store. I will also offer specials for customers like yourself in our primary marketing area." I replied back once again explaining that it wasn't an issue of distance, but of time, and what would happen if even their "best pricing" still wasn't good enough for me to pull the trigger? Would they be compensating me for the time I wasted by coming into their dealership when they could have simply emailed me a quote? Frank replied back: "If you feel that our offer is not good enough for you to pull the trigger, you will at least know what our best offer is." To which I plainly pointed out that "right, or you could just give me your best offer now, over email, and that way I would also know what your best offer is without potentially wasting my time." Apparently sales manager Demetrio takes issue with people calling out their B.S. through the application of simple logic because the next reply I received from him said this: "We will not be compensating you for your time. In fact would like to wish you a great day and much luck with your search for a vehicle. I don't appreciate the way you spoke to me or my salesman." I don't appreciate my time being wasted. They could have simply said in their second reply that they do not provide quotes outside of the four walls of their dealership and I would have moved on with my day. To be safe on the off chance that Demetrio was acting outside of standard practice and this wasn't a top down policy, I forwarded his email to the Acura of Sherman Oaks GM - Drew Holbrook. As I'm sure you can guess from the fact that I've gone ahead and written this review, I never heard back from him. Meaning the customer service I received is to be expected as that treatment is business as usual at Acura of Sherman Oaks. This is a Lithia Motors dealership so I've now gone so far as to cross check the Lithia website before sending any other dealer website inquiries to make sure I don't reach out to any of their other dealerships by mistake. I'll be honest, I had the best experience (gave 5 star review) purchasing a car here and that was followed up by the worst experience of my life. When I purchased the car I paid in full by check. Today is Friday June 21 and they still haven't release the car saying the funds haven't cleared the bank yet. I called the bank today and they said the funds were cleared and released on Monday June 17!!! So why the lies and deceptions? I request to be contacted. More

Second red flag was that when I brought up that the break rooters looked like they had heat spots and warping they said that it was okay to drive. Then I drive the car home and after I drove it 150 miles a check engine light comes on and they want nothing to do with it and sends me to a different dealership and no one is willing to help after I bought a 35,000$ car, don’t waste your time at this place save yourself the headache and just go somewhere else. The car has multiple miss fires and multiple stored codes as well as a possible gas leak according to Lexus of Valencia, this is just lack of inspection and service. More
The staff here are truly amazing. Special shout out to Frank Kim. He was great. Such a great experience at this Acura dealership in Sherman Oaks. From the beginning process until purchase, the salesman, Mr. Frank Kim, and the Sales Manager, Demetrio Miller were more than patient a Sherman Oaks. As a senior citizen, I highly appreciate when salesman and managers show great patience for my million and one questions. Mr. Miller was flexible (got a great price), very smart, and so kind to me and my husband. I checked the sticker prices in Acura of Thousand Oaks and Acura of Cerritos. I found this dealership in Sherman Oaks to offer the absolute best prices. I highly recommend this dealership without reservation. The Acura RDX is an amazing car. I am more than happy with my choice of car and dealership. More
SCAM ARTISTS. Warning - do not even bother to go into this dealership. The salespeople are pushy and LIARS. They tried to scam me out of thousands for my 2021 MDX - saying I would need to pay $3500 for an end-of-lease "safety inspection" - to buy my own car. That, along with a $4500 warranty, $450 in fees, $1500 in "lifetime oli" and other bogus charges. I walked out and I'm buying my car directly from Acura Financial - never again will I ever go into this dealership, and neither should you! More

Please read reviews here and at other review websites. 1) Extensive bait and switch advertising with fake prices on all new and all used cars. All the worst sales practices of a stereotype used car dealer to an absolute extreme level of con artist scams. Over $10,000 of junk upsell fees on a used car! If you see a car for $30,000 advertised, it is impossible to buy it at Acura of Sherman Oaks for less than $40,000. You will only learn about that at the very last stage of your process, just before you pay for the car -and after you have spent hours with the sales person having conversations about the fake advertised price. 2) Long list of junk fees for additional cost items that are not advertised on the website, including things that were never done and things that were done three years ago when the vehicle was sold by another dealer. Very expensive Permaplate wax package is mandatory, for thousands of dollars. Specific upcharge items for thousands of dollars were named " security labels" and "scratch protection clear decals" and "tracking system" with the claim that Acura of Sherman Oaks installed all of the extra items to prepare the vehicle. Upon closer visual inspection, it was obvious that wear and tear and scratches were visible from the previous owner and all security stickers and tracking system were old, paid for years ago by the PREVIOUS owner. Outright FRAUD. 3) Used vehicles with severe defects are sold with a fake "Lithia" 60 day warranty. The Sales Manager subsequently informed me that all warranty promises on the signed contract are immediately void once the buyer drives off the lot. So to get warranty coverage to be in effect, you must buy the car and then leave it there to have them perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair - after you pay for the vehicle. Then you have no vehicle, and the repairs will be denied. 4) Extensive failures in documentation process, especially with processing of DMV registration and title paperwork. Endless errors with incorrect data on everything including the loan documents. 5) All communication with external email or text messages is from many fake software robots that generate written replies that are obviously not human, but pretend to be real people with names and photos taken from stock photo thumbnails. Don't bother to send voicemail, text, or email to anyone there. All the names are FAKE NAMES. A sales manager explained that Lithia dealers do this to screen all incoming external contact events with robotic software, so that only contact from buyers with urgent needs to purchase a vehicle will ever receive a human reply. 6) No response from anyone at Acura or Lithia to customer telephone voicemail or email communications. All messages are ignored, even when Lithia Cares contact website is used to ask for help. 7) All Sales and Finance staff have been terminated at Acura of Sherman Oaks. Business may be in transition to new owners or possibly going out of business. 8) When challenged to explain the extensive bait and switch schemes, the website fake price advertising fraud, and misleading warranty tricks, a senior sales person defended their practices by saying that : "We use all the same tricks that you will experience at any dealer in southern California. So you cannot escape the $10,000 hidden upcharge package no matter where you buy a car. So you may as well just buy one here at Acura of Sherman Oaks, at the hidden higher price" The only honest person I talked to at this Acura dealer was Darin Sanders in the service department.
