Thank you for being a loyal Acura of Berlin customer since 2010 — that means a lot to us. I want to start by genuinely saying we hear you, and we understand your concern. It’s never our intention to leave a long-time customer feeling disappointed or questioning our process. I can see why you'd be frustrated when comparing your experience with how another Acura dealer handled things — especially when a service bulletin was provided at no charge. And yes, you're right: we *could* have simply handed over that same bulletin. That said, I also want to explain a bit of our side. Since we last spoke, I revisited this situation with our technician — someone with years of hands-on experience. He shared that while the bulletin is a step, it's not always the full picture. Part of our standard here is not just performing the procedure but making sure the vehicle is truly ready to pass emissions before it leaves our hands. That includes additional drive time and rechecks, which is where some of the labor cost comes in. Our goal has always been a 100% pass rate, not just “do the job and hope for the best.” We genuinely appreciate your input — it’s helping us improve, and I hope we can find common ground.
