*1964 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Coupe 6.0L LS2 V8*Built between 1963 and 1967, the C2 Corvette was a massive departure in design from the car's first generation and ushered in a hardtop coupe for the first time in the model's history. It was also the first Corvette to feature a fully independent rear suspension which made it handle like a true sports car and put it squarely up against anything the Europeans had to offer. This 1964 Corvette has been painstakingly modified to include some of the greatest hits of C2 design features, paired with modern performance and a stunning interior to create a truly one of a kind automobile. The exterior of a C2 coupe is undeniably one of the most stunning designs to ever make it to production- with its exaggerated pontoon fenders and a roofline that sloped down to the rear of the car, ending in a sharp point. Each year of C2 production saw the design altered slightly, with different side vents, unique hoods and the addition of side exhausts. Although this car started life as a 1964, a 1967 style hood with the now infamous stinger hood scoop sits atop the car, giving it a much more aggressive look than what was available in 1964. A set of side exhausts have also been added which not only look outstanding but give the car an outstanding burble at idle and fulfill all of your 1960s muscle car dreams at full throttle. The black paint on this car is sensational and considerable time was clearly spent getting it looking just right. Replacing the C2's standard 15 wheels is a stunning custom set of 18 5-spoke Forgelines that are wrapped in Hankook Evo2 high performance tires with specially finished red lines on the tires- just like the car would have worn when new.During the C2's original run, Chevrolet offered numerous engine options that included both small blocks and big blocks as well as carburetors or fuel injection for certain years. A 4-Speed manual was the standard gearbox but an automatic was also available with some engine choices. Replacing the original engine is a fuel injected LS2 V8 producing around 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. An engine cover by American Hydrocarbon and polished ancillaries give the engine bay an outstandingly put together look and will make any owner proud to open the hood at a car show and put it on display. This engine is backed by a Tremec 5-Speed manual transmission that offers quick shifts but thanks to an overdrive gear, can also provide relaxed highway cruising. 1965 was the first year that offered standard 4-wheel disc brakes on a Corvette but this car's original brakes have been replaced with modern discs and calipers at all four wheels and a Wilwood master cylinder under the hood confidence inspiring performance.Although the exterior and mechanical updates to this car are significant, perhaps the most impressive part is when you open the door and get inside the car. The C2's unique cockpit like interior has been taken to the extreme by Corvette specialists A
