Xavier was helpful in finding me a car that was in my price range. The car that was presented to me was supposedly never in an accident, and had two front tires that were very low on tread life. I was told by Xavier that if I agreed to new front tires, would that make the deal happen. I agreed that I would buy the car if the tires were replaced. I was then told by the business manager that he would not replace the front tires. I should have walked away, but I was under a time crunch to get a car, so I agreed to take it anyway. Because of damaged paint, I took the car to my body shop for advice on repairing the paint. They told me, and showed me that the car had definitely been in an accident. The front bumper shroud had been replaced, and that the windshield and rear view mirror were not original, along with extensive corrosion that suggested that the car could have been in a flood. There were cheap, aftermarket floor mats included, instead of the factory mats. So who knows what the true amount of damage was on this car that I bought, that was sold as a car that had never been in an accident. Unfortunately I bought the car as is, but I was certainly deceived! I work in the news gathering business for a large television network. I will be looking into what I can do to make this situation right. In the meantime, I will strongly advise my friends, family, and colleagues to stay far away from Star Auto Mall, and to do as much negative publicity as I possibly can. Star Auto Mall is a place that gives the used car business a terrible reputation. I will be following up with my work colleagues on reporting the deceit that goes on at Star Auto Mall. I will never make a future purchase at Star Auto Mall, or it associated business, Taj Auto Mall. You will be hearing from me in the near future. Extremely disappointed!
