1 star is 1 more than Elk Grove Acura deserves. The Elk service department is quite lacking in customer service and the basic knowledge of Acura vehicles to make sufficient repairs. The work orders place false information as to the work completed. The service manager is a complete mess, refusing to do warranty work and recommending customers contact American Honda directly for help. I brought my vehicle in for warranty repairs and they barely touched the vehicle in the nearly 2 weeks they had the vehicle in the shop. I went to pick up the vehicle and the work order stated my vehicle was observed overnight. Come to find out, there is no one on site to perform this task. The service manager, Jeff M, asked who told me this was done. Sadly the work order/receipt is where I found the information. It makes me doubt anything was ever done that is printed on the final work order. One repair has already failed and the same problem has reappeared within a few weeks of getting my vehicle returned. Another example of the Elk Grove Acura Service dept failure is the suggestion by a service advisor Will, to shut off the brake function of the collision avoidance system, instead of attempting to repair the brakes locking up when the sensors see a ghost, when all there thhat is there is a light rain. Be wary if Elk Grove Acura is charging for repairs and not warranty work covered by American Honda. Hard to believe the customer service is so subpar at Elk Grove Acura. If you are looking to receive adequate service, this is not the place to go. Latest email from Jeff Maciel, service manager: Thank you for choosing us for your vehicle service needs. At this time, we regret to inform you that we're unable to continue assisting with your repairs. Given the nature of the issues, we believe you'd be better served by seeking support from another dealership or service provider that may be better equipped to meet your current needs.
