I am from Phoenix, AZ and love the desert dry heat. I have been at Courtesy VOLVO since it opened in September 2017. I have worked as a technician for more than 30 years, 20 of which have been side by side with my son Vince Jr. My favorite thing about the VOLVO brand is the longevity of the product and attention to detail. My favorite car is a VOLVO XC90.

Waiting I waited every step of the process. One service manager completed his paperwork in front of me rather than helping me before he assigned me to another I waited every step of the process. One service manager completed his paperwork in front of me rather than helping me before he assigned me to another service manager. When I picked up my car, my service manager was in a meeting. Although the people at the dealership kept looking for him and telling me he was almost there, I waited about 25-30 minutes while 3 other service managers (who didn't have customers - again - completing paperwork) didn’t have the common sense to help me. I feel there could be an improvement in their process if this is the standard. I intentionally came at slower times so I would not have to wait in a line behind other customers. Additionally, they could not fix my car. One problem is a known problem (I tried to google and fix it myself before I went in). I am not sure they even looked at that issue. Maybe they should call Volvo direct for guidance. The other problem they could not locate (car lurches after stopping), this same problem happened to my husband as he was driving my car the same night I got it back. I also asked them to clear the maintenance notice I have been getting since the last time I was in for maintenance (and they did not clear it), guess what- they didn’t clear it. Super frustrated with the service (or lack there of). The gentlemen moving my car around were all super nice. More

Courtesy Volvo Service department is top notch. I took my Volvo S60 T5 for an oil change and a maintenance check up. Everyone in the service department is very helpful and extremely courteous. I was assigned to Jud who took care of everything; Vince did the test drive to properly address my concerns and answer all my questions. Nice to be greeted with a smile and to deal with people who don't waste our time. The service area is well maintained and the staff and mechanics know and love their Volvos! I recommend Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale Service department very highly, and I would even take my other vehicle to these guys!!! More

Excellent Response to Service Issue My 2002 XC70 developed a serious engine issue unexpectedly, resulting in my having to have my beloved Volvo towed to Courtesy Volvo. Brian Lawrence l My 2002 XC70 developed a serious engine issue unexpectedly, resulting in my having to have my beloved Volvo towed to Courtesy Volvo. Brian Lawrence let me know how slammed the service center was, due to the long weekend. I appreciated his candor since it helped me figure out my options. The service manager, Armand, let me know the situation but both Armand and Brian reassured me that they would do everything they could to at least get a diagnosis as to why the engine was running so poorly. My mechanic, Vince, Sr., took the time between tasks to do a diagnostic test and the issue was quickly and accurately determined. Don’t ask me how these great professionals worked it but the repairs were made on my Volvo between other scheduled appointments. This dedication to caring for my much beloved Volvo is just one more example of how Armand, Brian, and Vince work together as a team to deliver customer service at a level surpassed by no other dealership I have known and used. They understand how much I appreciate my vehicle and they do whatever they can to insure it continues to run at peak efficiency. All the staff at Courtesy reflect the professionalism and caring that the name of this dealership implies. More

Service Department - Exceptional Experience I recently experienced a challenging problem with my car. This is a very nice vehicle that I purchased from this dealership. As it should, the story I recently experienced a challenging problem with my car. This is a very nice vehicle that I purchased from this dealership. As it should, the story ends with my car in good working order. More importantly, it ends with me happy. Armand, Jud, and Vince Sr. transitioned me from being genuinely disgruntled into a happy customer who feels well-treated in addition to the having a pleasing outcome. This was no small feat and is why I'm taking the time to submit a review. The reality is that "I" was probably at least as challenging for the service department as was my car. I primarily interacted with Armand. He was respectful throughout the process, not only to me, but also to my wife. Listening to my concerns, not always with me in the best mood, Armand took as much time as needed while I voiced my concerns, never cutting me short. It was clear that was not only listening, but also following-up. He was rock solid under fire. He also took the time at each appropriate interval to personally call and update me. Of course, most customers do not and should not need this sort of coddling. Clearly, Armand knew that, this time, I needed the extra attention. His willingness to "go the extra mile" made all the difference to me. Jud and Vince Sr. were enmeshed in the process, clearly playing significant roles in the process and, among other things, made it possible to actually get Vince Sr. into the car with me, on my schedule, to evaluate the car and validate my concern. They knew I needed the attention and made it happen. If I were in the auto industry, I'd find a way to make sure these guys work for me. Good work, you saved my day. More
