Jonathan Akers was the ruthless and racist man I have ever encountered. I took an Uber from Gaithersburg MD to Chambersburg PA to buy a car I found on their website and explained to the sale agent (Vince ever encountered. I took an Uber from Gaithersburg MD to Chambersburg PA to buy a car I found on their website and explained to the sale agent (Vincent Shaffer) that I plan to drive it back after the purchase. He then asked me to bring with me a valid car insurance, my driver license, and a check to pay cash. Although I came to buy the car without a financing and ready to pay with my check the same day, Jonathan Akers pulled my credit score and called the credit bureau and my bank about the transaction I was about to make. He told them there is a man here who is about to make a $5000 check on his bank account and he wanted to know if he has sufficient money on his bank account. He then asked me go to a Wellsfargo bank at 1 hour total drive (back and fourth) to get the cash and come back so we can sign the contract and I can get car. I refused that treatment and told them if they cannot get my check, then it is better to let the deal fall through. They let me seat there for a while and came back telling me I can pay by check, but I can take the car only until the check went through and is cleared by my bank. I asked Vincent Shaffer if they will pay for my ride back to Maryland. He said more likely but needs to ask Jonathan Akers. By the time he came back with the answer on my ride back to Maryland, another staff came to let me know to come sign the contract with one of their financial officer, which I did. After signing the contract, I asked Jonathan Akers about my ride back to Maryland as they refused to let me take possession of the car I just paid for with my check. He said they will not pay for one dime and that Vincent Shaffer asked him about it and he said No!. I have to rent a car to go back to Gaithersburg Maryland, and this was the ruthless, meanness and racist experience I have ever had. All this happened because I am a black man who wanted to buy a car by a check. More
