We have been dealing with Sun Toyota for 20 years. We never had a problem. This time we did. We took in our 2018 Highlander in for an oil change. We have been talking about downsizing for awhile. We never had a problem. This time we did. We took in our 2018 Highlander in for an oil change. We have been talking about downsizing for awhile. A salesman, Tommy Cocoa, met us outside as we were waiting to get serviced. He told us our car was in good shape, it only had 39,000 miles on it. We told him we were thinking about downsizing. He told us to come into the dealership and he would show us what he had. We test drove a RAV4 but I did not like the way it drove, next to it was a Camry Hybrid.. I drove the Camry and liked the way it drove.. Sticker price was $42,000. Long story short we traded our Highlander in for this Camry. It is an XSE. Beautiful car. We did not finance we paid in full. What we could not understand was why we still owed $28,000 on it when we were given 24,000 for our car. We had the windows tinted which the finance guy added $1,000 to it, plus he was going to give us mats with the tint band he charged us $300 for the mats. When we went back on Friday we gave the financial guy a check. We never saw any other paper work until I asked for it then they gave us a USB. We looked at it when we got home. Total price for the car was $47,000.00. We DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS a $5,000 charge for Market Premium. No one, not the salesman or the manager told us. We are both 77 years old, why would we want the extra $5,000 added on? So we went to the dealer again today, Monday the 28th. We spoke to Brian Keane . He showed us a copy of what my husband signed, told us it was highlighted. Again , we didn’t see any highlighted numbers. And again, no one told us about the $5,000. Mad, oh yes. We will NEVER go back to Sun Toyota for a new car again. We feel like we were bamboozled. More
