A great experience! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed into a decision. Would buy another car from them in the future. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed into a decision. Would buy another car from them in the future. More

Good info on the website enabled me to go to the dealer with my preference in mind. Website, though, is clunky with annoying popups. Probably takes twice the time it should to do anything. Also, it turned with my preference in mind. Website, though, is clunky with annoying popups. Probably takes twice the time it should to do anything. Also, it turned out the car I wanted was NOT a V8 like it said in the website, but actually a V6. At the dealership, Toby was a great salesman! He was knowledgeable and not pushy. He was attentive to my preferences. I felt I got a fair price. There are a couple of outstanding items that they have not followed up on. I’m sure they will. I was a cash pay customer, it should have been a quick in and out, but it took a long time from when I agreed to buy to when I actually got to leave. Seemed like hours. This is what makes car-buying painful. Interaction with the warranty guy was less than enjoyable. You agree to pay for a car, then the warranty guy intentionally puts doubts in your mind as to whether the dealership actually stands behind the quality of the product. I turned down the warranty because it was offered only after they had exhausted my customer surplus. Then he handed me a list of all of the things that I could have had covered. In my view, it was a list of things that they should have checked and assured were right before they sold the car. Apparently they don’t sell quality, they sell warranties. They detailed the car, but after the wash the headlights had water in them. They said they would call me to bring it in to get it fixed. Instead a third party called me when I was out of town. When I got back, I called the third party to schedule the fix, left a message, and they never returned my call. Still have water in the lights. Now I have had to have the car in the shop for an alignment after just a couple of weeks. I’ve learned the frame is bent and the wheels cannot be aligned to factory spec. I am now seeing indications of body damage and sub-standard repairs. The bumper was apparently re-painted and the rest of the car not properly masked, as there is overspray in the windshield that tears up the wipers and makes it hard to drive at night. The driver-side door has a poorly-repaired dent and is somewhat deformed. A few days after purchase, I got a message that it was time for an oil change. The oil looked fresh, did they change the oil and not reset the clock? I would say, if you buy from Hood, ask to take the car to a mechanic and a body shop. Know they are not confident about their quality and negotiate the price down about $3000 so that you have room to get the warranty. More
