Was expecting more from a so-called high-end dealership. Initial impression started out good, but didn’t end that way. The salesman (Tim) was professional and answered my questions. Since we live about 1 hour away, I didn’t want to waste my time if there the car had issues. He sent me additional photos of the vehicle because it had some paint damage on the front end. Went to check out the car & test drive in the evening. There has approx. 12” paint gouge on left front bumper/fender & damage to the chin splitter. Otherwise, the car seemed fine structurally & mechanically…just dirty/dusty. Because it was late in the day, we returned the next day to look at the car more thoroughly and discuss sales price.
This is when things take a turn. Their listing price was high Kelly Blue Book, even though the car requires autobody repair. I hoped to negotiate the sales price, however was told “we don’t negotiate pricing”. Instead, they offered a Due Bill (but never received a copy) to get bumper/fender repaired. Was told service department would contact me within a week to schedule the repair, which they never did.
While signing loan docs in finance department. Was told the car was going to be gassed up, washed & detailed. Finance guy presented a ceramic coat package to include ceramic warranty (approx. $1600). Told him I wasn’t interested in ceramic package or warranty, but he said that the dealership already applied ceramic to the car. So, he reduced the cost to about $850.
We DID NOT receive hard copies of ANY paperwork. I was emailed the loan documents later. When the car was delivered to us in the parking lot, it was still dirty like the day before…obviously it wasn’t washed and detailed. Instead, two younger guys came out with towels and a pink spray bottle and were attempting to wipe the car clean. I asked what was in the spray bottle, the guy said “I don’t know”. Finally, before we drove off the lot, a service guy looked over the bumper/fender area and said that they could just blend & feather that area. WRONG, I just spent $68k on this car, I want it done right…not some cheap repair job!
We got the car home and washed & detailed ourselves, found tons of hard water spots all over the car. Which means either the dealership never ceramic coated the car, or they did a half-xxx job and never did paint correction prior to ceramic. Either way, I had to get professional detailer to remove water spots and correct paint.
About three weeks passed and still never received a call from service department regarding the auto body work. I decided to get (3) estimates myself which all came in around $2000. I then emailed CBB and explained the overall unsatisfactory experience and requested a refund for the ceramic coat and for autobody repair. Service manager responds back. I sent him copies of (2) estimates. Said he would look into it my complaints. Spoke to the service manager a second time, still no resolution. Then a sales manager contacted me. He said he will not pay me $2000 to have the auto body work done at a shop closer to my home, when it will only cost him $300 at his shop, which is 1 hour away.
Based on the bad experience, poor service, and lack of honesty from this dealership, I have no desire in taking the car back to them for anything…. not even to check my tire pressure.
Therefore, I will not recommend CBB to anyone. Buyers beware.

While we are glad to hear that Tim provided you with excellent customer service, we are disappointed that hear about the remainder of your purchase experience.
From your review, it appears that you did not like that CBB does not negotiate on its prices. That is because CBB is a market-based price store so that our advertised price is based on the current prices in the marketplace. Most (but not all of our customers like getting the best price upfront and thereby avoiding the adversarial negotiations).
There was some damage on the vehicle you purchased and a "We Owe" was provided that confirmed that CBB would "repair and repaint the front passenger fender". In looking into this further, I do note that CBB failed to promptly contact you to do so. When our Service Manager did speak with you, he apologized for the delay and tried to make arrangements for CBB to come pick up your vehicle and bring it to CBB to have it repaired as agreed. You refused to do so, instead insisting to have the repairs performed at another dealership and requesting that CBB reimburse you fully for that. At the time of the sale, CBB did not agree to have a third party perform the repair at CBB's expense. To be clear, CBB remains ready, willing, and able to provide you with the repair and repaint of the fender, as promised, and to ease the burden on you, will pick up the vehicle at your residence and return it when the repair is completed. Please let us know if this is acceptable and we can promptly make those arrangements. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me. UPDATED RESPONSE: On 6/9/2022, The general sales manager (David) contacted me to see what could be done to resolve the issues.
-He acknowledged the miscommunication and short comings of CBB and offered an apology.
-He acknowledges we never received any paper document copies.
-Said he wants to get the car fixed for us even if it costs him $2000.
I stated my lack of trust & confidence in CBB to resolve the issues based on the experience thus far. I explained I do not feel comfortable giving the car back to CBB for repairs at their (third party) autobody shop 1 hour away.
-He said he will talk to the owner and inquire about reimbursing me something.
This was exactly 3 weeks ago!...and I have NOT got a response back from the general sales manager.
Therefore, I stand by my initial ONE star review of CBB and it's business ethics. You guys say you're going to do something....yet fail to follow through. That's 3 times so far.
Now to rebuttal your response Mr Schneider: I never stated that the service I received from the salesman was "excellent", those are your words. Second, the vehicle sales price was an annoyance but that's not my primary complaint or concern. You fail to resolve the other issues: 1) We were charged for things that were not done to the vehicle (or done correctly). 2) Vehicle was not delivered in the manner as stated. 3) Lack of communication, follow through and overall service. 4) CBB in fact uses a third party auto body shop, and is willing to pay $2000 according to General sales manager. So why is it unreasonable for me to request a refund so I can have the car fixed at a third party shop I trust, within 15 mins from my home?
At the time of this response, the vehicle is already at the auto body shop of my choice. The actual repairs, which includes other unforeseen damage to the affected area, will cost approx. $2800 to return the car to proper condition. At this point, I don't anticipate CBB to offer anything to make up for their "short comings"....
