After the inspection, they initially told me that several parts like air filters and other components needed to be replaced, and they gave me an estimate of around $4,000–$5,000. Then, after some time, they changed their statement and told me that the engine itself was completely damaged and needed to be replaced. After that, I went to the showroom, where they again insisted that the engine was damaged and needed replacement. They then offered me $7,000 for my car as a trade-in and strongly pushed me to buy another electric car. I felt like they were trying to manipulate and pressure me a lot. A showroom is supposed to provide good service to customers, not exaggerate or create problems that may not even exist just to take advantage of them. This kind of behavior is very wrong and damages BMW’s reputation. Employees who act like this for their own small benefit will never grow in the long run. They were trying to manipulate me into selling my car and buying another one, which I strongly object to.
