Danbury! Shopping for cars for my mom ,found a car here we liked called ahead to let them know we were interested because we live 30 plus minutes out. Was told car was available, even had a warm exchange from the sales rep evan and kept up commcation through text. Got there after they were closed cause Evan was waiting for us. Again no mention of any issues. We get there and Mom loves the vehicle after a test drive. We've been searching for 3 weeks! Again time isn't a luxury we've had. Mom puts deposit immediately, this was Saturday night and they are open on Sunday. Get a call Monday at 10:44 am. ALL OF A SUDDEN The car was sold earlier in the day on Saturday!!!! What what ??? Even before Evan told us he would hold the key and let us know if he sold it before we got there , is what I asked? " Oh the manager who knew didn't tell the managers who were here!! ( sounds like someone at the dealerships liked the car also because how could that happen) This is unacceptable! Then he tries to take the blame for it but it wasn't him it was management and their system! No offer of a solution, tried to offer anotherv car that wasn't close to what we had deposited on. The greed of these people allow them to not have some system that allows people to know a deal exists on a car already. They play with people's time and emotions cause in their nind the cars gonna get sold and that's all that is important. My mom was distraught and this was totally avoidable. You think management called me at all no they had Evan call a try to take the blame ....THATS DISTURBING. I'm not buying the story especially since I've seen this before from these greedy dealerships!! Be careful, I'm in sales and I'd never treat anyone like this. Hyundai of Danbury is just trying sell cars regardless of your experience! Cause what do we matter as potential customers, someone else will by it ! It was a terrible situation and again I blame the lack of an accountable system that alerts potential buyers of a deal on a vehicle or thats its sold. Others dealerships have this in place and I guess I'll take our business there! Or was the car just such a good deal that they didn't want us to have it either way. They have lost my business, and I don't recommend doing business with this type of dealership. This isn't an emotional review its here to make you aware of how places like this operate, maybe it won't happen to you or MAYBE ITLL BE WORSE! More

Stay far away from this dealership!! I purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe sport from them and now the service manager refuses to service my vehicle. The first reason he gave was I gave them a poor review. The second excuse from their media manager was I was rude to their service staff. Do yourself a favor and stay far away this dealership. You know it’s bad when Hyundai corporate tells you there a lot of turmoil and turnover at the dealership. It’s unfortunate that they let the service manager be a bully but when your family owns the dealership it’s hard to be fired. The best thing this dealership ever did was tell me to go a different dealership for service!! What a world of difference when I went to a different dealer they actually fixed the issue that Danbury Hyundai caused and then refused to admit they did. Luckily the dealership I took it to put it in writing that Danbury Hyundai caused the issue. So in short stay away from them More

Treatment of female spouse We have been waiting almost 3 weeks for $500 owed to us. As a 20 year customer of Hyundai, I can say this experience will turn me off for a long time. We have been waiting almost 3 weeks for $500 owed to us. As a 20 year customer of Hyundai, I can say this experience will turn me off for a long time. My spouse went into dealership to test drive a new Palisades, I told sales person we were NOT ready to purchase. My spouse was pressured to leave deposit. I called sales person back same day and told him, I was NOT purchasing the vehicle. He told me, he would take care of deposit. After talking to finance manage, who stated I would get from deposit back the day after our check cleared (which was 6/19/2020) and customer service executive, I still do not have my $500 deposit back. This started on June 18th?? More
