Initially I visited this dealer in July, 2021. At that time, there were a few cars that could test drive, but the inventory was extremely limited. I was not completely sold on the idea of paying MSRP on time, there were a few cars that could test drive, but the inventory was extremely limited. I was not completely sold on the idea of paying MSRP on whatever available, so I passed on the purchase decision. Two months later, in September 2021, I visited the dealer again, and this time, I found out the not only there is absolutely no inventory, but all the cars in transit (about 67 cars) were already spoken for. I was stunned as I was hoping for the situation to get better, only to find out that the situation got worse. Totally surprised and confused as to what I can do at that point, I listened to what the salesman recommended. Stephen Shaughnessy recommended that I order a new car which may take 3 or 4 months. I was skeptical at first, but waiting for the future allocations was equally uncertain. So, I took Stephen’s advice and ordered a car on September 17, 2021. As it turned out, my new ordered car came in on November 23, 2021, 2 months and one week since I ordered. That was such a pleasant surprise. Not only the came earlier than I expected, but it was su much nicer than I have been dreaming. Remember that I ordered this car without physically looking at it or test drive. This is one of the best thing that happened during pandemic, and I highly appreciate Stephen’s advice through the 5-month purchasing experience. Everyone at the dealership was nice and I look forward to being a friend of Garavel Subaru. More
