My husband Michael loved the idea of the 'BeSpoke' LC500 from Lexus. He spent every free moment on YouTube learning about this model and knew exactly which options he wanted. He owned his special order 2005 Lexus IS300 Sport Cross for 18 years and a couple years ago decided to sell it - immediately after the sale I noticed that he had "seller's remorse. In early July 2024 my husband and I went to Lexus of Wesley Chapel. The Wesley Chapel dealership was the closest to our home in The Villages and had high customer ratings. We called them and asked to be able to meet with a LC500 Specialist and even brought a cashier's check for $10,000 to get our order started. When we arrived, we were greeted by "Master Certified Client Advisor" Mike Tadros. Our mission was to order a special car instead we were given the opportunity to sit in a used LC500 Convertible they had on their lot and was told about what they could not do for us: Lexus did not allow special order cars. The online process that we used to build our special car at home wasn't real. If they even tried to process a special order the entire assembly line would shut down. He made it clear that even if we gave them an order it would be ignored. We were frustrated and asked to speak to someone in management. He went to get someone but came back a little later to let us know that his manager confirmed that they were unable to special order and did not even stop by personally to let us know. Best I can tell Mike Tadros reports to: Simon Tickett Master Certified Director of New Car Sales OR Randy Newbold General Manager, Lexus of Wesley Chapel We left Lexus of Wesley Chapel frustrated and somewhat confused, I know my husband felt a little deflated. After what seemed like a much longer hour and a half drive, we both agreed that we never wanted anything to do with Lexus of Wesley Chapel again. When we arrived home, much to our surprise, we had an email from Mike at Lexus of Wesley Chapel - they were able to place a BeSpoke order for us?!?! NO WAY! No apologies were given for wasting our time, not having a knowledgeable sales representative or accessible management. Earlier that month, we had purchased a Honda from one of the Morgan Automotive Group's dealerships - Honda of Ocala. I had the pleasure of meeting Brett Morgan during that time. I knew that the Morgan Automotive Group owned many dealerships, so I reached out to Mr. Morgan. Much to my amazement, he responded immediately, found out what I needed, and set me on the path to achieve. The same day Mr. Morgan sent a text message to Chris Lima introducing me as his friend and basically let's make this order happen! Chris Lima was the first of many wonderful folks we met at Lexus of Sarasota! He and his team were able to pull an Obi Wan off and my husband has a beautiful Atomic Silver with Caramel Alcantara and Satin Metallic trim, Mark Levinson sound system, etc. The Lexus of Sarasota team of Chris Lima and Scott Franzinger were instrumental in making sure the car "happened" and for us receiving an appropriate amount of communication - this is a long process. The average order is 2-8 months for delivery - our car took a little less than 6 months - we feel extremely fortunate!! Chris and Scott had an Uber pick us up and bring us from our home in The Villages to Sarasota (2.5 hours away) so my husband and I could drive together home. Many thanks to Chris, Scott, Jaden and Chuck of the Lexus of Sarasota Team!! A special thanks to my friend, Mr. Morgan. It’s no longer owned locally and there is more of a big company sterile feel to the environment. The dealership bought my 2018 LC500 and had me sign over the title to them without giving me the agreed upon company sterile feel to the environment. When I did receive the check there was a 7 day hold on the funds. That is poor business practice. Staff is very friendly and professional. More
