My family recently purchased a Jaguar SUV from Serpentini Chevrolet of Tallmadge less than 30 days ago. While the salesperson was professional and easy to work with, the experience after the sale has been di Chevrolet of Tallmadge less than 30 days ago. While the salesperson was professional and easy to work with, the experience after the sale has been disappointing. Within days of purchase, the vehicle developed brake issues. We contacted the dealership and were initially told the brakes had already been inspected and there was nothing wrong. After pushing the issue, the dealership finally inspected the vehicle and determined it DID need brakes, which were replaced at no charge. That directly contradicted what we were originally told about the inspection prior to sale. Shortly afterward, the check engine light came on. Communication became inconsistent, callbacks did not happen as promised, and it became easier dealing directly with the service department. The first appointment for the check engine light was canceled because the light turned off before the visit, and we were told to call back if it returned. It did return. A free detail appointment was already scheduled for Monday, May 11 at 8:00 AM after winning a dealership promotion. We drove 45 minutes to the dealership and arrived on time, only to be told after arrival that the detail would take the entire day. That had never been communicated beforehand. More importantly, despite the vehicle being purchased less than 30 days ago and the check engine light issue already being documented with the dealership, we were told there would be a charge just to diagnose the problem. At that point, we left without the detail because the situation had become unacceptable. A vehicle purchased less than 30 days ago should not already require brake work, repeated calls regarding a check engine light, and a charge to inspect a recurring issue that was reported almost immediately after purchase. We are asking management to review this situation and address it appropriately. Based on this experience, this is not currently a dealership we could recommend to others. More

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Serpentini Chevrolet. For weeks leading up to our visit, I was in contact with a salesperson, Noah, through multiple phone calls a experience with Serpentini Chevrolet. For weeks leading up to our visit, I was in contact with a salesperson, Noah, through multiple phone calls and text messages. During those conversations, I made it very clear that we would be driving over an hour each way to the dealership and wanted to confirm that the advertised lease deals were legitimate before making the trip. I asked repeatedly if the deal was real. I was told clearly that we were well qualified and could expect a lease on a Chevy Silverado around $1,699 down and $279/month. We even discussed another structure at $3,699 down and about $200/month. Based on those repeated assurances, we made the decision to come in. When we arrived on Thursday (3/26), we worked with Joey Frame. We again explained the deal we had confirmed with Noah and reminded them that we were coming from over an hour away and wanted to avoid unnecessary return trips. Joey indicated everything looked good. We then spent hours at the dealership test driving and going through the process. Joey told us he would get our paperwork started that same evening (Thursday) and follow up shortly. That never happened. Our paperwork was not started Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Instead, we were told everything would be handled Monday morning around 9am. On Monday, I called and texted Joey throughout the day specifically asking for the numbers before making the drive back. Again, I made it clear we were over an hour away and did not want to make another trip without knowing the details. He would not provide any numbers and insisted they weren’t available yet. We were ultimately told the figures had just become available minutes earlier—but only once we were already driving 60 miles back to the dealership. After all of that time, communication, and unnecessary travel, we were finally presented with a lease offer in the range of $700–$800 per month—nearly three times higher than what was clearly communicated to us beforehand. At no point did anyone proactively clarify that the original deal was unrealistic for our situation. Instead, we were repeatedly reassured over the course of weeks, encouraged to come in, delayed for days, and then required to return in person just to receive numbers that were nowhere close. This was not a minor difference or a misunderstanding—it was a complete breakdown in honesty and transparency. We spent approximately 6 hours of our time and drove roughly 250 miles total, all while the dealership knew exactly how far we were traveling and continued to assure us the deal was real. That level of disregard for a customer’s time is unacceptable. Proceed with extreme caution. More

This dealership is a complete RED FLAG. I bought a car from them, and the battery completely died on me 2 days after driving it off the lot. Serpentini of Tallmadge refused to fix it or com I bought a car from them, and the battery completely died on me 2 days after driving it off the lot. Serpentini of Tallmadge refused to fix it or compensate for it. I sent them the receipt as they requested, and they never followed through on their end. There has been a number of problems since i bought the car from them, and all i can say is they have caused nothing but stress.... I would strongly recommend to stay FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS POSSIBLE.
