Dillon did a great job during and after our purchase! ! Definitely a good man! We purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass and not 2 weeks later had an issue with it. Not only did Dillon get us into service the very ! Definitely a good man! We purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass and not 2 weeks later had an issue with it. Not only did Dillon get us into service the very next day (earliest appt was Nov 1st) but they also took care of repairs and got us a loaner car!!! If you come to checkered flag hyundai in VA Beach, come see him!! He's good peoples! More

I used to love this dealership. They always had convenient appointments and were always so well at communicating….I don’t know what has happened over the last 2 years, but I wouldn’ They always had convenient appointments and were always so well at communicating….I don’t know what has happened over the last 2 years, but I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone. I’ve had the worst experiences with them over the last few months trying to get my car fixed for a known engine issue. When I asked why it wasn’t just recalled I was told that it’s cheaper for Hyundai to fix the issue on a case by case basis… I have had to drop my vehicle off several times for days on end for oil checks. I completely understand the need for those types of checks when dealing with warranty related items, but one of the times they had my car for 2 days before telling me that I brought it in too early and that I’d need to bring it in again in another 100 miles. The lack of communication is abysmal. Once I finished all of the warranty hoops I then had to wait for an approval from corporate. After a week of not hearing anything and not being able to get ahold of anyone I requested the general manager’s assistance. He was able to verify that my warranty claim was approved and the engine just needed to be ordered. I called to check a week later after hearing nothing yet again and was told that the engine still hadn’t been ordered, but it would magically get there and installed by the time I needed to leave for vacation. I made it abundantly clear that I had already paid for the vacation and other family members were meeting me SEVERAL times every time I spoke to them. I was assured that if I was given a rental at that time that I could get special permission to take it out of state to attend. After getting the rental I was then told that I could not take it out of state, but my car would be ready before I left. After all of my experiences I voiced my concerns and was told my vehicle would be ready for me to leave on Monday…. I reached out the Wednesday before… no response, then the next day. I was told that the engine wasn’t in yet, but once it was in it would only take a day to put in. I reminded them that I was leaving on Monday and was told that if it came down to it there would likely have to be an exception made for the rental to go out of state. I said, ok, either is fine I just needed a vehicle and couldn’t miss the trip. Monday rolls around and guess what’s not done?! My car, and I’m told that it was promised to be ready by close of business on Monday. That was NEVER in our discussion. Why would I be okay with leaving to drive 10+ hours out of state at 6pm???? To top the cake of this whole thing I was then called at 4pm and told my car was done, but when I verified exactly what was done the services that we discussed and had in writing weren’t complete. It’s now Tuesday and they still aren’t complete… and in true Checkered Flag fashion, nobody has called to follow up since I spoke to them yesterday at 4pm. I’m very interested to see how they will respond to this review as I have everything in writing or voicemail to verify all of my claims. Bottom line, AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. More

I need help…We purchased a 2022 GV70 from Checkered Flag Genesis, Virginia Beach, VA on April 25, 2022. The same week when my husband washed the vehicle he noticed 4 spots that looked as if the clear coat h Genesis, Virginia Beach, VA on April 25, 2022. The same week when my husband washed the vehicle he noticed 4 spots that looked as if the clear coat had been rubbed off. He called the dealer and they said, “we didn’t do it, but bring it over so we can see it.” He drove the hour back to Virginia Beach and they scheduled the vehicle to be fixed on May 25th. He took it back on May 25th. They said they were able to ”buff it out”. They still have this vehicle and when he called today, no one knew anything about it and the person who was handling the repair was no longer there. We have a registration and title, but no vehicle to match either! SERIOUSLY, this has become very frustrating. Can someone HELP? UPDATE: Yet another day with them not calling or doing anything to get our vehicle back to us!! This is now 15 days to “buff” 4 factory defects out of the paint. Ashley, manager of service said she would call us today when she had arrangements made to get us our vehicle. NO CALL FROM ASHLEY!! General Manager was in his office, knew I was asking for him and wouldn’t answer the phone…hmmm…Wonder how good it’s gonna look having an old lady picketing the dealership? UPDATE: Ashley Hunt, Service Manager, said she would call this morning (6/9/22) to tell be when they would be bringing the car back. Naturally, 9:30 a.m. as I sit home waiting for her call, she hasn't called...nor will she answer the phone. I will continue to update this fiasco...Please save yourself my frustrations and buy elsewhere...they don't care once they have your money. More

What I liked about my experience was the simplicity of the whole process. A simple phone call to explain what I was looking for and Mr. Washington took care of the rest. It can really stress a person out trying to do everything right on the first try but with Mr. Washington I know our backs were covered. I was extremely pleased with Brandon Hill and the service he provided when I bought my new Hyundai Kona. There was no pressure and he worked hard to find me what I wanted within my budget. He stayed late past his shift to finish and he accommodated my schedule. Everyone I came into contact with was awesome! Very friendly, helpful and professional! I've even already recommended him to a friend/colleague who picked her new car up last night! More
