Infinity of Van Nuys has an excellent Service Dept. The prior owner had all service done at the Glendale Store. You have all my service records as no other mechanical work has been done except twice f The prior owner had all service done at the Glendale Store. (Costco) On 4/30/23 Full service @ 120,847 mi, plugs, belts, hoses, etc, $3,958.00 vehicle ran great. !! On 6/22/23 traveling to Oceanside CA, the car stalled in very heavy traffic only 20 miles from destination. pulled to emergency lane & waited a few minutes and restarted. moved to slow lane & It stalled 3 more times but started right up and arrived at destination. Drove home without issues 101 miles. Called for service appointment on 6/2423. Told that Cam sensors were not talking to crank sensors and needed to be replaced., and a net battery ( under warranty) cleared service light. O odom at 121,762 mi " vehicle operating as designed" Driving home, ( 4 miles} Service Engine Soon light came back on !Called for appointment> On 6/28/23 after scanning I was informed that both Catalytic converters needed to be replaced at a cost of $6,850.00. Odom at 121,804. mi Took car to the garage /mechanic I use for my other vehicles . Scanned to show all processes were ok except PO420 & PO430 (off the chart) He could replace but suggested I take it to a muffler shop for a second opinion , Cats might be dirty. Took car to King Muffler on Oxnard St in Van Nuys. Owner tested and inspected the car . He asked if my car was out of my position said NO. then asked who worked on my car last.. I told him Infinity of VN. He told me to take it back to them ,,,they F'd it up. He stated that he knew all about Infinity vehicles and owned several. They are built like tanks . he said " I could replace the cats for $ 2600 -$ 2700 right now but it will not turn off the engine service light" as you drive out of here". He said he does not do business like that. "I refuse to take your money" Can not get it emissions tested and passed. Smog test stations can not test with light on, had it reset and told to drive 65 miles + - sic times,, plus twice after service and reset light off / the last time after Infinity service replacing the 4 oxygen sensors to driv e 100 miles to reset computer.. the Infinity service manual actually has driving instructions to reset to pass emissions That I provided on my last visit Said service dept would drive the multi step process if I could not complete all the steps,, ( I did try 4 times ) So tomorrow I go to the DMV and throw myself on the mercy of CA DMV compassion. P.S. Your Service Department personnel is top notch at helping ang your waiting room & coffee are excellent. I did not like paying $250 dollars for service and then offered $100. for my vehicle for your mechanics to practice on, Thanks for letting me rant. I miss Miguel Lewis Jabro. More
