I have now purchased three vehicles from Olathe Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram over the past four years. Unfortunately, this one will be my last. I spent several days researching my purchase and contacted se Chrysler Jeep Ram over the past four years. Unfortunately, this one will be my last. I spent several days researching my purchase and contacted seven dealerships about 12 different vehicles. I wasn’t looking to negotiate for days. I simply asked each dealership to submit its best and final offer because I intended to purchase within 48 hours. We already had a written CarMax appraisal for our trade, and after comparing every offer, Olathe earned our business. Before we ever stepped into the dealership, the entire deal had already been negotiated. We knew exactly what vehicle we were buying, what we were paying, and what our trade was worth. While texting with our salesperson, Raven, she asked, “If I can get you $21,000 for your trade, do we have a deal?” We replied that we did if they also included the all weather floor mats and cargo liner. Raven responded, “Great. What time can you come in?” At that point, we stopped shopping because we believed Olathe had earned our business. When we arrived, no one discussed pricing or mentioned that anything had changed. We were taken directly into the finance office and handed a stack of paperwork to sign. Like most customers, we trusted that the paperwork reflected the agreement we had already reached. Two days later, while reviewing the paperwork, I discovered the agreed upon $21,000 trade allowance had been changed to $19,000. Nobody mentioned it. Nobody explained it. Nobody asked whether we still wanted to proceed under different terms. They simply processed the transaction using numbers that did not match the agreement that brought us into the dealership. When I contacted General Sales Manager Robert Lowry, I expected him to review the text messages, recognize what happened, and make it right. Instead, he insisted Olathe would only honor the $19,000 trade allowance because the paperwork had been signed. Even after I sent him the text messages showing his salesperson confirmed the $21,000 trade allowance and scheduled our appointment based on those terms, he refused to take responsibility. His response was that Raven “didn’t have the authority” to make that agreement and that we should have caught the discrepancy before signing. He even told me, “A deal is a deal.” Ironically, I agreed. A deal is a deal. The problem was the paperwork reflected a different deal than the one we had accepted. Mistakes happen. Raven is new, and I don’t blame her. What disappointed me was watching the General Sales Manager refuse to stand behind his employee or the agreement that brought us into the dealership. Leadership means taking responsibility when your team makes a mistake. Instead, the responsibility was placed on the customer. I gave Robert Lowry every opportunity to resolve this professionally. He refused. The only reason this was corrected was because I escalated it beyond him. Ownership reviewed the facts, acknowledged what happened, and reimbursed the $2,000 that should have been honored from the beginning. I appreciate ownership for making things right. Unfortunately, that happened despite Robert Lowry’s handling of the situation, not because of it. The pricing mistake is not what cost Olathe Dodge my future business. The way their General Sales Manager handled it did. If you’re buying a vehicle here, read every number before you sign. Don’t assume the paperwork matches what was negotiated. After buying three vehicles from this dealership in four years, I never imagined I’d have to fight this hard just to receive the deal that had already been agreed to in writing. I sincerely hope no one else has the experience we did. More

Louis was very helpful and accommodating. He explained all the differences between my 2023 GC and the 2026 GC. He took time to work out the deal I was comfortable with.
