After an unpleasant situation where my 87 yr old dad went into the New Bedford Ford dealership after receiving a "guarantee to win something" mailing from them-He won some ear buds. He purchased a vehicle th into the New Bedford Ford dealership after receiving a "guarantee to win something" mailing from them-He won some ear buds. He purchased a vehicle that day. After that it was a nightmare for us as his children trying to fix the things he had signed up for! It was Robert Bernier, the Finance Manager at the Fall River Dealership who really helped us out by just taking sometime to reach out to someone that he new at Santander Bank to find out WHERE the title to my Dad's new vehicle was. My sister and I had already dealt with a lot at the NB dealership to no avail-not very helpful!! I had called Santander bank several times and spent hours on the phone and got nowhere. I went to the registry with the lien paperwork they gave me after he paid it off and it wasn't the correct paperwork I needed to get a replacement title-seeing as where they said they had already sent it to my dad. I actually went to a Santander branch in desparation hoping they could escalate the problem and I could get some answers. Robert Bernier went out of his way to get this taken care of-made a call to help find the title- My Dad finally received his and title. It's hard when you have an elderly parent-they get nervous, don't always understand what's on, get confused. It just took a little help from someone who had compassion and a great work ethic to fix this issue for us. My siblings appreciate what he did. I would do the same. I am in heathcare and ALWAYS go above and beyond to do the BEST for my patients-even if it's a little extra work-especially the elderly!!! More
