I bought a truck from them and was promised 4 free oil changes. First free oil change took 3 hrs, second free oil change 1.5hrs. I was on time for both appointments. There will not be another. Robert was very pleasant and easy to work with. He was patient, showed me several cars and discussed options and benefits of each. I decided on a used Highlander which was not the model I expected to buy but I am very happy with it. Robert helped me through the process and I was better prepared when I went to the finance department (Always fun! Ugh) I was very disappointed that Toyota of Richardson does not allow any outside financing and that they added addendum cost (Market price adjustment) to the price. I was able to negotiate some of that with Robert's help. Overall Robert was great, the dealership was good but current market makes it a difficult time for a car buyer. More

The dealership won’t conduct business with out of town banks and didn’t mention anything….until my bank sent the drafting instructions for receiving funds. My loan officer contacted the dealership and was banks and didn’t mention anything….until my bank sent the drafting instructions for receiving funds. My loan officer contacted the dealership and was transparent from the beginning on drafting process. The dealership agreed and accepted, until they found out I was driving over 500 miles from out of town. The dealership quickly changed their mind and requested a cashier check or no deal. It came down to the dealership wanting me to finance through them or use someone they recommended. My guess is they get a kick-back in return (finders fee) if I chose to finance. So my wife and I decided to conduct our business with a different dealership. Toyota of Richardson should state on their website they don’t accept out of town banks. I’m sure that would save time for other customers who experienced what I did. More
