I purchased a new 2025 F-350 Platinum Plus from Mall of Georgia Ford on June 30, 2025. Driving home I ran into rain and when I turned the windshield wipers on the wipers extended past the windshield and to Georgia Ford on June 30, 2025. Driving home I ran into rain and when I turned the windshield wipers on the wipers extended past the windshield and took of some paint from the truck. Calling MoGF they said to take it into a local dealer and it would be covered under warranty. After Greico Ford refusing to conduct any work in an expedited manner I went to Wayne Akers Ford. While there I had the privilege of having Consuela as my service advisor. She took good care of my truck and the windshield wiper arm adjusted and the truck back in my hands before the end of the day. Unfortunately, the wiper arm still rubbed on the windshield causing a “rainbow scratching effect” which is something that was a minor issue initially. After more rains and more usage the scratching became more apparent so I took it back to Wayne Akers and Consuela again ensured my truck was taken care of and orchestrated a ride home for me so I would be able to take care of other things at my house. The following week I went to Texas and came back within a 5 day period and ran into hours of rain during the return stretch. After I exited the rain it was clear the windshield wiper arm was destroying the windshield and after speaking with an Akers service advisor I was told they cannot fix the windshield so I took it to Sawgrass Ford. While the truck was at Sawgrass to have the windshield wipers and windshield arm replaced I received a call from my service advisor who explained that both of the blades on the truck were aftermarket which stopped them from being able to do ANY work I needed on the truck. Upon calling Consuela and telling her what I was told I was met with a less than pleasing demeanor. I do know we are all people but we should not allow our feelings to affect our relationship with others. Especially if one works in customer service. We never know what someone else is going through. In the end I was forced to pay for new windshield wipers out of pocket and still have a scratched windshield that no dealership will replace. More
