Let me start this review with honesty, me and my wife overpaid for our new 2025 Honda pilot. It's our fault, they got us and we will be paying for that mistake,(literally). But this review is not about m overpaid for our new 2025 Honda pilot. It's our fault, they got us and we will be paying for that mistake,(literally). But this review is not about me, it's about the character of the people you will be interacting with at this dealership. I will not be using names because while I'm angry, my goal with writing this is not retribution. It's a warning. It's to paint a picture of the unfortunate landscape of car buying in America. And this dealership plays a role in the degradation of trust in car dealers. If you are like me and my wife your are in the market for a bigger vehicle trying to accommodate your growing family. We have been emailing other honda dealerships for quotes on prices and none seemed to budge. We were going to settle for the Chevrolet traverse, but I have a soft spot for Honda's , nothing but good experiences, and didn't want to give up. So me and my wife on our 1 day off together drove up to the Watertown area to look at a traverse, wife loved it, price was right. My wife agreed to go look at the pilot again and see if we can get a deal if we go physically to the dealership. This is how we ended up at Honda of Watertown. We test drive, love it ,price is too high. The salesperson asks what he can do I show him the quote from Chevy and he comes back to me with an offer that matches the Chevy monthly payment and term. This is my first mistake, I get excited and agree. Blood in the water for these folks. The whole atmosphere changed and it became a rush to get my down payment. This is where I'm still not sure what I could have done, maybe I should have asked to see the final numbers before I gave the down payment, idk. I thought what they showed me was the final numbers, but it wasn't. At this point my antsy 7 month old and wife are growing impatient, we tried to leave a couple of times but where kept being told a few more minutes. About 2-3 hours later we end up in the finance office. This is where the real games start. They show me all these different tiered warranties packages, all of which shoot the monthly payment up to 1000 dollars a month. We get a 20 minute speal about why we should pick the top tier package. This entire interaction seemed like it was trying to get me on my back foot with ridiculously high monthly payments so I would just accept the lowest tier which was the closest to the agreed upon monthly payment. So I picked the lowest possible one and the payment ends up being $30 more a month than what I agreed to. At this point I don't know what to do, I already gave them a down payment, my wife and kid are hungry after being in the building so long we need to pick up are older kids from after school, so instead of questioning it, I end up "signing". Second mistake. At this point they finally had some motivation to move, there was no paper contract for me to look over, it was all digital on a tablet and you could not look at the entirety of the form without scrolling and they had this clever system that just signs for you with 1 click. And the documents where on a thumb drive that I wasn't able to access until I got home and see how much they screwed us over. Most of you reading this will say I am an idiot, and I agree. But this review is for all those families out there who don't have a lot of time, wife is hungry and running on coffee, kids that are always rushing you. Be careful with this place... The new car seems great on the surface and the kids loved it when they saw it for the first time, and where super excited for all the new space. Unfortunately instead of being excited and joyful about having a new car, we are filled with doubt and left feelings ashamed of ourselves because of the experience we had at Honda of Watertown. More

5 Star service The sales team at Honda of Watertown made my experience not only painless but extremely memorable. Felt more like friends were helping me out instead of it being a business atmosphere. Paul Marino was exceptional and Dave Yargeau was personable and had contagious energy and enthusiasm. I will most certainly be recommending Honda of Watertown to anyone I know who’s in the market for a new car. I was dreading this experience and I was very pleased I went through this dealership. More

Terrible Awful. Atrocious. I can not even begin to explain how poorly I was treated. When my tires were stolen off my car they were careless. I first called to Awful. Atrocious. I can not even begin to explain how poorly I was treated. When my tires were stolen off my car they were careless. I first called to talk to Reuben, the service manager. I inquired about a rental car while my car was being serviced and told him I was 20. He went to double check and said “we’ll be able to take care of it for you.” When I got there he told me no, that he couldn’t do anything for me. No apology, instead when I mentioned “I can buy a car from you but can’t rent one” he told me “you didn’t buy it from me.” I bought 2 cars from Honda of Watertown. Unprofessional and condescending and certainly stemmed from my young age. They kept my car for over 2 weeks, never called to update me, and continued to push the estimated completion time back when I called them. Once I got my car back, I noticed they only replaced 3 out of the 4 rims and left the damaged one on my car despite the insurance estimate clearly stating to replace 4 rims. They claim they don’t know where the mixup occurred and I had to return to the dealership again. Overall a very poor place where you spend thousands of dollars and they treat you like absolute garbage. I will not buy or service from this dealership any longer. I have told my coworkers, friends and family to avoid this dealership, it’s not worth the trouble when you can go elsewhere. If you value money, time and self respect, I highly recommend going elsewhere. More

I had to go home before we could complete all paperwork( I had kids at home) and the dealership actually put on one of their dealer plates and let me leave with my car.I went back at 9am the next morning and sealed the deal. All staff were wonderful (including you too Val the 2nd aka Rob....lol) Rick the general manager induced himself to me and Paul in finance was wonderful. Now back to my sales rep the real Valerie.. thank you.You did a fantastic job even coming back the next morning on your day off to go over the bells and whistles in my car.I look forward to my continued business with you all.Thank you all so much..and Happy Honda Holidays to you all...I know mine are already! Sincerely Clarine Renee Wisner-Normandin More

Beware of the children that service your car there...if they see a shiny car with a manual transmission, they just can't resist the urge to drive it like a moron. It doesn't take an ASE certification to figure out that the kid did a burnout and broke my axle, I just wish they had owned up to it and fixed their mistake...but they didn't. Service was extremely slow... I spent 5 hours there waiting for an alternator...and they didn't even top off the coolant that they noted was low. Jessica the receptionist said they couldn't open the radiator because the car was too hot....Really? Hot after 5 hours? I am now getting the run around being referred from service adviser, to service manager to general manager and back again and nobody is giving me any answers. I should not be held liable for damages incurred to my vehicle while it was in their possession! I am very disappointed, definitely will not be bringing my car back there. It's worth a farther drive to take it ANYWHERE else. More

She was dismissive and it was a very unpleasant experience. I left the dealership and immediately went to Honda in Torrington where the reception I was given was completely the opposite and I bought a car from them that day. More

The salesman lied and the manager stuck up for him. The manager said the car was sold as is and yes it was but WITH UNDISCLOSED INFORMATION. A one key car turned into a two key car after it was registered manager said the car was sold as is and yes it was but WITH UNDISCLOSED INFORMATION. A one key car turned into a two key car after it was registered I was handed two keys and told by the salesman the owner lost the keys. The manager told me the owner broke the key in the ignition - hence two keys. One for the driver door and one for the passenger door and trunk. The trunk opened ONLY WHEN IT WANTED TO. So I said I wanted the keys fixed. Instead of buying a kit to have the car have all one key I am now the disappointed owner of a THREE KEY CAR. The manager said "what is the difference between a two or three key car"? More

We have been doing business with Watertown Honda for about eight years and specfically with Phil Verini. We have owned approximately twenty Honda vehicles over the past thirty years. Recently we were about eight years and specfically with Phil Verini. We have owned approximately twenty Honda vehicles over the past thirty years. Recently we were in the market for a new Honda Odyssey and, as usual, it was a great experience conducting business with Phil. He is friendly, very knowledgeable, easy to work with and accomodating with a wonderful sense of humor. He has to be on his toes and able to keep up when dealing with my husband, Ken. Phil will know what I mean! All in all we have been very satisfied with Watertown Honda and the staff with special mention of Chris Hansen, Rick Bierce and Steve Knox for their professionalism and attention to our needs. Of course, we look forward to working with Phil again when it becomes time to purchase another vehicle. We highly recommend Phil Verini and Watertown Honda. Sincerely, Pat (& Ken) Nairne More
