I am a young woman and went alone. I went in for an oil change. I was blatantly lied to, taken advantage of, and beaten down into getting a car. The salesman and the managers lied to m I went in for an oil change. I was blatantly lied to, taken advantage of, and beaten down into getting a car. The salesman and the managers lied to me about my final payment price. In the finance office, I kept saying no to add-ons, but Ken would not take no for an answer. I had already been trying to leave for hours, they kept showing me cars worse than my own, I finally make it to finance, and I never even said yes to the add-ons he was insisting on. I am telling you, I said no to them at least 5 times, and I finally exasperated "whatever" to get on my multi hour drive home. I told them before even stepping foot in the building that I was not interested in the car they kept trying to put me in. I have spoken to Nissan, and the deal is not yet funded, meaning I do not own the car I am driving but I do still own my Altima that they are holding hostage. I wasted over 3 hours yesterday explaining to them that I have already spoken with Nissan, and I rightfully want my car back. They kept refusing and outright lying to my face. They told me to leave multiple times and were rude and unprofessional. One manager left in the middle of our conversation and I didn't see him again. I initially asked to speak to the general manager and was informed that he was not there. I later asked for his/her name, and Ray Pritchard said that he would speak to me. He gave me the same run around as the other manager. I asked for the gm's contact card and Ray said he didn't have anymore of his own card, even though he is not the gm. From my best understanding of googling and reading reviews, he is a 'horrible sales manager' at best. I asked other employees in the building for the name of the gm and owner, and everyone was acting very shady. One lady outright lied and said it was Ray. They do not have an employee directory online, nor in store. The live chat on their website doesn't know. Why is this dealership so sketchy about their management? Not to mention, I read a former employee's review on indeed that highlighted the harassment the managers impose upon their female coworkers: [had to remove the link to comply with dealerrater guidelines, but is easily googleable to find] From the viewpoint of a young female, this is a dangerous place to be. Typically I only write reviews when I have had an exceptional experience. However, having two disappointing experiences with Downtown Nashville Nissan I felt compelled to share my experience. Purch exceptional experience. However, having two disappointing experiences with Downtown Nashville Nissan I felt compelled to share my experience. Purchased a vehicle the end of January 2021. The purchasing experience was passable although took over 4 hours excluding test drive. The problem came after when we were waiting for the tags and registration to be sent. Taking into account delays due to COVID, I expected it would take a little longer but not 3 months. And the delay was due to mishandling on the part of Downtown Nissan. After multiple follow-ups, temporary tags, misinformation, etc. the dealer overnight expressed the information to Marshall County clerk AT the end of April and the clerk had the registration and tags ready in 1 day. Since we were in a rush to get the vehicle, we took a loan at a higher percentage rate than desired. In the meantime, we got approval for a lower rate yet had to reapply since it took so long to get the registration. Fortunately, we still got the lower rate. I wanted to share my experience with Downtown Nissan and was provided the name of the woman who handled customer service. After 3 calls to her cell phone and no return calls, I finally was able to speak with a manager which also took many days. He comped us with free oil change and tire rotation. At the time of this service, I received a phone call informing me that I could trade in my newly purchased 2020 Nissan Rogue for a new 2021 Nissan Rogue for twhe same or lower car payment. I should have trusted my instinct but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to check it out. I returned the call and spoke to a manager. He assured me that we could trade in for no additional costs. I even texted him expressing my skepticism and again he confirmed that I would be able to pay off my existing loan and have equal or lower payment. So I traveled 40 miles to the dealer and lo and behold, it was all a big lie and scam just to get me in and try to convince me to make a deal that was not as promised. The saleswoman we worked with was great but the manager on duty that Sunday was rude and condescending. Clearly I learned my lesson and will never deal with Downtown Nashville Nissan again. More

Do not buy from this dealership. I purchased a brand new 2020 Nissan Altima SR and have yet to take delivery of the car after 2 1/2 weeks. Advertised prices are thousands below actual prices I was shopping for a '16 Leaf. They advertised an SL for ~$14,900, but when I got in their actual base price had a "CPO fee" of $1600 and a "refurb fe I was shopping for a '16 Leaf. They advertised an SL for ~$14,900, but when I got in their actual base price had a "CPO fee" of $1600 and a "refurb fee" of $700, so their actual "starting point" for negotiations was $2300 more than advertised. The seller pulled all the slimy used car salesman tricks- "this offer is only good for tonight (it was ~9PM), what can I do to earn your business right now", held onto my keys while they evaluated my trade to keep me from walking out. Tons of high pressure tricks. Virtually everything he said to me was technically true but crafted to mislead- the CPO warranty on a Leaf isn't worth the paper it's printed on (it may be better for a gas car), but he kept trying to make it sound super great, and didn't mention the original, still-applicable OEM warranty still applied. Eventually he "haggled" down about $2500, after an HOUR, to get to the price listed on the website- what I thought would be the STARTING point of negotiations. He assured me this was their best offer... until I was on the way home and he texted offering another $500 off. At this point I've completely lost trust in them and wouldn't consider even looking at their website. I worked with Jonathan Strickland with a quick visit from an angry Ray Pritchard. Steer clear of these guys. More

Shady Wizard of OZ bait and switch tactics I was attracted to visit this dealer by advertised price drop on a CPO vehicle of the model, type and trim of vehicle I am looking for. The advertised I was attracted to visit this dealer by advertised price drop on a CPO vehicle of the model, type and trim of vehicle I am looking for. The advertised price was at the lower end of the KBB and Carfax suggested prices but still in the reasonable range. The price history showed the price had been dropped about $2,000 over the month it had been listed online. After arriving at the dealership, speaking with the salesman, and test driving the car we entered the "sales" phase. He asked how much I'd be putting as a down payment and after telling him I'd be paying cash, I was left to wait for the "man behind the glass curtain" to produce the cost of the car. In addition to the expected taxes, tag, and title fees, the sheet I was shown when the salesman returned had 2 additional fees added to advertised sales price: some CPO/warranty fee of almost $2,000 and another ~$1000 fee for them to see if the brakes or tires needed to be replaced (after only 5000 miles no less). This brought the total cost to approximately $6,000 more than the advertised price. The sticker shock on my face must have been obvious. When I asked if these 2 additional warranty costs were optional I was told, they "might" be able to remove one or the other, but not both, and was left alone again for another "man behind the glass curtain" visit. When the salesman returned I was not presented with a different price, but was offered to show me other "cheaper" cars. After a quick tour of cars on the lot that did not have to features specific to the model/trim I had mentioned I was looking for, the salesman told me he "might" be able to get me the original car at about $3,000 less than the trumped up sales sheet I was presented. I told him I would keep it under consideration (although mentally I had already decided I wouldn't be doing business with this dealership no matter the price at this point). We walked back to the showroom and the salesman said he would get me his business card. Instead of the business card I was presented with the "man behind the glass curtain". This wizard regaled me with the price of the car if it was new and how to get to a lower price I would have to consider other "cheaper" cars. When I told him that I was looking for a car with the features of the car I'd come to see at the advertised price, he then instead tried to convince me to finance a portion of the price of the car because it was only "simple interest" and had "no prepayment penalty". I explained that I simply wanted to pay now for a reasonable price for the type of car I had come to see. He quickly dismissed himself with a cursory adieu. The sales guy was helpful and nice enough during the test drive and information gathering, but this dealership clearly promotes or at least condones some sketchy tactics. The price that was advertised for this CPO vehicle was clearly a bait and switch to try and hide this CPO and some "other" type of warranty fee that they intend to charge to get the sales price back up to what they wanted to make on the vehicle. Oddly, the price I was finally told I "might" be able to get was eerily close to one that removing these extra fees would have produced. I don't know about you, but I never like the feeling of dealing with someone who is pulling strings from behind the scenes trying to find out just how much they can finagle out of me; employing distractions like the flying primates and the lollipop guild that Dorothy encountered. These are the type of behaviors that have yielded the "used car salesman" stereotype. Rather, I'd prefer dealing with someone confident enough in their own honest intent and the value of their product that they can plainly state it what it's worth up front. So, unless you enjoy the challenge of trying to out swindle a swindler, I wouldn't recommend dealing with this group. More
