Hold On to Your Keys! I have purchased more than 7 cars in my life but my experience at Fred Anderson was the WORST by far. Everything went well, test drive, discussion, e I have purchased more than 7 cars in my life but my experience at Fred Anderson was the WORST by far. Everything went well, test drive, discussion, even negotiating (even though we were far apart); but then they took my car for a drive to evaluate it for trade-in pricing. When they returned, I asked for my keys (which my salesman now had). Instead of returning my keys, he said that he might get me a better offer but needed to talk to the manager. He returned with a new offer that still wasn't close to the number I had told him was my deal price. Again, I asked for my keys and again he went back to his manager and came back with yet another (unacceptable) offer. This sequence (ask for keys, get another offer) went on FOUR times. Finally, I said that if he didn't give me my keys, I would call the police, saying that I was being held against my will. Even THEN, the salesman went back for another offer. I left the showroom and waited by my car in the parking lot. The salesman finally came out with another offer, but handed me my keys. I drove off vowing NEVER to go back to Fred Anderson Toyota for ANYTHING. More

Great experience I found the Toyota Camry that I had been looking for at Fred Anderson Toyota. Everything was ready at my arrival on the day of purchase. Preston Elmer I found the Toyota Camry that I had been looking for at Fred Anderson Toyota. Everything was ready at my arrival on the day of purchase. If you value dealing with s Do not waste your time at Fred Anderson Toyota. Hindsight is 20/20, and I wish I had not purchased my vehicle from here. If you value dealing with shady, incoherent, and untruthful sales tactics then this might be your dealership. You name the clever ploy and I can give you a scenario that my salesman, Preston Elmer, tried to use it. Good manager bad manager, convenient forgetfulness, inflated numbers magically moving around the price sheet for unexplained reasons, computer errors, new system problems, and empty promises to name a few. After our agreed upon price, magically when we went back to finance to sign the official paperwork the price went up. After I caught the mistake reading the fine print of the contract the explanation was, "Oh I have no idea how that got there, must have been a glitch in our system. Let me fix that." Reading further down in the contract, our agreed upon lease was for 15,000 miles a year. Magically again in the small fine print, that number had changed to 12,000 miles a year. Why? Another computer error... Unfortunately I gave into their pushyness and trusted them and had already signed the contract when I caught this. When I brought it up, the finance manager's first words were, "Well you signed the contract already you should have seen it." Really, that is how you do business? Changing the terms of the agreed upon deal and hoping your customer won't catch it? After complaining, he agreed to correct it. My final example is after the sale was completed, or so I thought, I was told that I would be reimbursed for title transfer fees for our trade in which was a measly $163.00. A picture of the receipt was sent to Mr. Elmer and he confirmed the expenses would be reimbursed. When I arrived with the title and receipt all of the sudden he needed to talk with his manager about the fees. After a short wait, I was told that actually I would not be reimbursed after all because of what appeared to be twisted words. To wrap everything up, I was also uncomfortably approached at the end of the sale by Preston to make sure to give him a 10/10 rating followed by a long explanation of why he thought he deserved a 10 and that he needed me to give him a 10/10 review. If you do find yourself going to the dealership be on your game 100% of the time, even after you think the sale is complete, and do not let your guard down. More

I decided to put in a request to come look and test drive what would be my possible new vehicle. Preston contacted me and work with my ever changing schedule. When we finally met we discussed my budget and came to a happy medium. I walked away with my car that day! Absolutely the best car buying experience. Scott was a great help as well. I will definetely be referring those in search of the perfect car buying experience here. More

Above and Beyond! Preston went way above and beyond in helping me select my new Camry. He took time from his day to allow me to test drive the car all the way to Youngs Preston went way above and beyond in helping me select my new Camry. He took time from his day to allow me to test drive the car all the way to Youngsville, so my wife could test drive the car too. He did this with the firm understanding that we might not buy the car. He took the risk anyway, and allowed us to drive the car - with absolutely no pressure to buy whatsoever. When we got back to the dealership I realized I had to be at a meeting at work 15 minutes later - in Durham! My wife had already taken my old car home and I was stuck. Preston quickly arranged to get the paperwork done so I could "borrow" my new car and drive it to work. We then worked out plans to meet after work to finish everything up. He gave me the most awesome deal on the car. My co-workers are amazed at the deal I got and the new car that I now drive. I really have to recommend Fred Anderson and Preston especially. I would definitely consider Fred Anderson again for my next car. More
