I bought a used car from Hundai of Columbia over a year ago and I am still mad about the experience. They listed the "no-haggle" price of the car but charged an extra $1,000 if you paid cash for it. I aske ago and I am still mad about the experience. They listed the "no-haggle" price of the car but charged an extra $1,000 if you paid cash for it. I asked if they financed in house, thinking they were making money there but no, they were using finance companies. That tells me the finance companies were giving kickbacks to the dealership worth at least $1,000 and their finance company partners were padding interest rates (2+%). I had the cash but financed it when I was assured there was no penalty for early payoff. I'm sure this is not an illegal practice, but I do not think is it ethical or moral to encourage their clientele to incur debt rather than pay cash. I would not do business with them again. More
