First, I HATE buying cars. As a single woman, I find it a grueling and on occasion infuriating experience and am reminded each time why that is as I hesitantly begin the process. I have purchased 7 cars in my lifetime and have to say that this was my best buying experience by far. I was looking for a used Element, which is hard to find in nice condition. From the moment I came into the dealership (granted with attitude from anticipating the same condescending, insulting sales pitch) I felt as if my salesman, Oren Ferguson, was actually there to help me get what I was looking for and to do his best to make sure the process went smoothly and that he really had my best interest in mind. He actually made me test drive the care 5 times, twice on the first night, and 3 times before I signed the papers on the second evening. He himself, drove it several times because he thought he heard a noise and had the service department check it out again and again. The financing department also did an excellent job at getting me a great rate and made the process easy and relatively painless. I have and will continue to recommend both Oren and HONDA OF JOLIET as a reputable and pleasant dealership to deal with. More

Oren was the main reason we decided to go back to Joliet Honda for our new car. He is everything a salesman shouldn't be - he' not pushy, he doesn't play games, and worst of all, he's our advocate. When we needed to make a decision, Oren had given us space and time to talk through the different cars, different financing, and all the options we had available to us. In the end, we made a decision with confidence that the car and financing worked for us. We goaded Oren for every little bit of information we needed to make the right decision for us, and he never showed anything but genuine patience. Most dealers, we assume, would have kicked us out for all the time we took from Oren that day, but he has an innate talent to listen to his customers - a quality that is lacking in most salesperson. Even after the sale, he made sure to ask us back so he could show us all the ins and outs of the new car. The confidence he showed us in our car in turn gave us confidence in our choice. We're somewhat sad that this experience won't be repeated for some time, which was the promise implicit in the Honda brand, but when we are in need of a new car in the future, we only hope that we'll have Oren by our side again. I made an inquiry first from the internet. Came in on Memorial Day and immediately Oren was able to help me out. We test drove it and he took some basic information from me. He quoted me a price and I was on my way. At one point, another dealership quoted me an "Out the Door" price. I texted Oren and within a short period of time he had my OTD price. When it was all said and done it was close between Honda and another manufacturer. The professionalism was the difference and we continue to be Honda owners. We loved our service so much that we sought out the shift manager to say as much and we tell everyone that asks just how much we love our Civic and the service Oren and the rest of Honda of Joliet provided to us. More
