I gave it this rating because I visited over 5 dealerships and found most were only interested in a quick sale or were shysters trying to rip you off . Some dealers actually used false advertisements to get you in and then renege on what there listing said. I was told by 2 salesmen at a Hartford dealership that the price was negotiable on a vehicle I looked at on their website. When I drove over 30 miles to get there was then told the price was NOT negotiable it was an internet only price, however the vehicle was sitting in there lot with the exact same price. After two days they decided to accept my offer, however, in that time I went to Gates (and was glade I did). As I said Gates was very personable and were interested not only in selling a car but also interested in my daughters safety making her happy and reasonable with us as consumers. JJ Lavieri even had 2 new tires put on this vehicle to demonstrate his sincerity towards my daughters safety and Denny worked out a very good price for us. It was truly our pleasure dealing with Gates. More

Brian spent a tremendous amount of time and energy to make sure we found the vehicle that was best suited to our needs. He even went above and beyond the call of duty to procure the exact vehicle we wanted from another dealership out of state. From the point of entry onto the lot; to the close of sale with Nick in finance, our experience was great! We will not hesitate to recommend Gates to all of our friends and family. The power of advertising on the Internet is a powerful thing. We live outside of Philadelphia and found the car we wanted on Cars.com at Gates. As part of the follow up process we began working with Paul Bacon and arrived at a great deal on a great car. Nick Truax worked with us on the financing and was extremely helpful. Paul also arranged for the car to be delivered and can not say what an added extra bonus this was!!! Dan arrived and delivered the vehicle and was very courteous and professional. I just purchased my first car (2011 Altima) with Gates Nissan and had a great experience. As a girl in my early twenties, a lot of salespeople (namely at Middletown Nissan - don't buy there!) tried to scam me into a crappy deal. Tomas was very forthcoming about fees and the deals he could and couldn't get me. I wound up with the exact car I wanted at a price I was very happy with and I felt like he did everything he could to get me the best possible deal. Both Tomas and Eric were really helpful showing me the different car features and answering my many, many questions. They were professional and really pleasant to talk to. We drove over 60 miles to buy the car there and it wound up being well worth it! I definitely recommend this dealership & the people I worked with. More
