Nathan, the salesman was great. He was very personable and passionate about the product, and very easy to work with. However, I have two reasons for a less than a 5 star review. He was very personable and passionate about the product, and very easy to work with. However, I have two reasons for a less than a 5 star review. I inquired on a vehicle that advertised $7,000 in rebates on their website with no fine print identifying the specifics of the offer. When I arrived at the dealership, they would not honor the advertised price stating because I didn’t qualify for all the rebates. When I asked which ones, I wasn’t given an answer. The only ones that I could find that I wouldn’t qualify for were recent college grad and military, each at $500. So that should have brought the rebate from $7,000 to $6,000. We ultimately agreed on a selling price, but it was still above the advertised website price. It felt like a ploy to get me into the dealership on false pretenses. When we agreed on the price, I asked if there were going to be any surprises or add on fees in the finance office. I was told no, only to discover a mandatory $1396 fee for exterior and interior protection had been applied to the contract. They stated it was already applied to the vehicle and couldn’t be taken off the purchase and sales agreement. I, as a consumer, should have a right to approve or deny any products to be added onto my vehicle that I’m responsible to pay for. The car was ultimately delivered with several scratches and tape residue from shipping on multiple body panels that needed to be brought back and corrected three times. While I’m glad the dealer made every effort to correct it, the preparation and application of the product was marginal at best, which is why I would have refused the service from the dealership and contracted with someone I can research and choose myself, at a much less fee as well.
