I leased a brand new Honda Pilot Elite, end of May 2025 from NJ where I live. I am currently in Fla for the winter. My husband brought my car to Brandon Honda for an oil change, the day before my husband from NJ where I live. I am currently in Fla for the winter. My husband brought my car to Brandon Honda for an oil change, the day before my husband brought it there, a code was showing up. They told my husband that it was a rear differential code and that it was not covered. They charged my husband 170.00 dollars. The car is 10 months old and has 8,500 miles on it. This should have not been an issue. And if it was, it should be covered as I have bumper to bumper coverage on a brand new lease. This all took place on March 28th. I have been dealing with Honda customer service and getting nothing but the run around with them. I called my dealership in NJ today and they even told me something like that doesn't go till over 30,000 miles and I have full coverage. My husband also pointed that out to Brandon Honda when he was there, and they basically brushed him off. This is the first time I have leased with Honda, and I did it purely for all the recommendations of how good Honda is. This has definitely not what I would expect from Honda, or a way to keep a future customer. I have been advised to go to the BBB as well. It is upsetting that I even have to go this route. I would have liked to settle this a better way. We should have never been charged for this service, and to hear others say, we were scammed makes it even worse. More
