I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, with a brief 5 years that I spent living in Southern California in the early 90's. After returning to South Dakota, I spent about 6 years with Gateway Computers until shifting my sales experience to the auto industry. I have now spent 15+ years at Frankman Motor Company with a dedication to make sure my customers leave happy with the vehicle they purchased, don't feel afraid to ask questions, and were comfortable with the entire car buying process. First and foremost, I want to apologize for the confusion with the test drive and the vehicle readiness. I understand how frustrating it must have been, especially with the long drive, and I take full responsibility for the miscommunication. We’re reviewing our processes to ensure this doesn’t happen again. I also regret that you noticed issues with the vehicle once you got home, including the broken cord and dent. Regarding the finance process, I’m sorry if you felt pressured during that conversation. That’s never our intention, and I’ll make sure our team is more mindful of this moving forward to ensure a more comfortable experience for all our customers. Lastly, I want to apologize for the delay in sending your extra fob and garage door opener. I’ve personally followed up on this, and I’ll make sure it gets sent out to you as promised. Dear Debra, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the 2003 Jeep. However, we’d like to clarify a few important points regarding this transaction. Frankman Motor Company was not the seller of the vehicle. The Jeep was purchased at an independent auction, where we have no direct involvement in the sale. There is no purchase order, no sale documents, and no money exchanged between Frankman Motor Company and the buyer. As the court ruling clearly affirmed, we did not sell the vehicle to you. Regarding your mention of a "loophole," we want to stress that there is no loophole in this situation—this is simply how the auction process works. Vehicles sold at auction are sold “as is,” with the buyer assuming responsibility for inspecting the vehicle and understanding its condition before purchase. Auctions are independent entities, and the transaction happens between the auction and the buyer, not between Frankman Motor Company and the winner of the auction sale.
