And MIKE CROWELL is front and center of the operation. Our 2019 Volvo xc90 has needed 10k in repairs in 3 months. A steering gear in March ($3,700 repair plus a $200 alignment) and now a front AND rear ac evaporator core both have leaks ($3,800 for the front and $1,700 for the rear). Our steering wheel literally locked up while we were driving with our 18 month old. We are lucky and so grateful to be alive. After putting nearly 4k into the car just 3 months ago, we notified Mike that we have had enough and we will not be proceeding with the 5k evaporator core repair. He said that’s fine you guys can pick it up tonight and it will be $215 for the diagnostics. I asked him to show us some goodwill and waive that fee since they are the reason we are facing this financial crisis to begin with and his response was “I think you have us confused with Volvo. We are Dean Team. We are owned by Mr. Dean. Not Volvo. We don’t manufacture them we just sell them”. I found this to be a pretty wild statement. They stand by them when they are trying to make a sale but when a problem comes up they jump on the other side of the fence and put the manufacturer down. My responses to this was “you guys sold us the car Mike”. His response “yes. Several years ago”……….. We bought the car three years ago… Didn’t realize there was an expiration date on being a valued customer?!?! I’m not sure if this how Dean Team trains their employees or if MIKE is just a bad apple. I hope to find that answer. I understand cars can be lemons but you should never receive “lemon” customer service. Side note **** After this debacle I spoke with a reputable source who is in the industry. It’s a 4-8 hour job. The front evaporator core costs $125. The rear core costs $95…… their quote was over 5k because it’s sooo labor intensive(service departments absolutely love that phrase). They’re making 500-1000 dollars an hour on labor….. Also just found out that they didn’t put the service caps (I don’t even know what those are but that’s what a mechanic told us when we got a second opinion) back on after their diagnostics test. They were just laying inside. But I paid $215 for that diagnosis!!!! So disappointing. More

I have regretted going here from the day I bought my car from them. I was lied to by the salesman, by the finance person, by the service tech and service manager on multiple occasions about serval things. from them. I was lied to by the salesman, by the finance person, by the service tech and service manager on multiple occasions about serval things. She said she wouldn’t run my credit since I had been pre approved by my bank and was just shopping around. I had a TON of inquiries immediately and felt very pressured into getting a car from her because there were so many inquiries. I told them I only had an allotted amount of time today and would return and they promised I would be out in plenty of time. I ended up over two hours late for work. I mentioned the wavy tint to the salesman and he says “it’s supposed be like that”. Guess what’s peeling all around? I should have trusted my gut because every step of the way has been a disaster. There are either some very shady business practices going on here or it’s where all of the incompetent people that were fired from other car dealers have collectively decided to work. My car was used, but a 35k purchase is not a small purchase for me. They treat you like you just made a $9.99 purchase, no big deal, get over it. Whenever I walk into the service shop no one has ever looked up or acknowledged our presence. BUT THIS….They tried to charge me $400 for diagnosing and replacing a battery was not bad that was “my responsibility” before they would do any of my warranty work. I knew the battery wasn’t bad, we tested it ourselves and also at Autozone, so we bought a new one and installed it ourselves just to get them to do the work, fully intending to return it to the store after the work was complete (because again, it was a good battery). They then cleared the warranty work. When it was finally done, I got a message that they had accidentally replaced my battery with their “premium” battery and my new cheap Walmart battery had been discarded! But how did they accidentally do it if they wouldn’t touch my alternator until the battery was replaced?! But don’t worry about it because their battery they’re giving me is a better battery. But now I don’t have mine to return? After a bunch of back and forth with the service manager, he finally agreed to give me the price of my battery off of the bill. My spouse also asked them to top off our tank for the inconvenience which they reluctantly did do. But then we got home….. and it was still our Walmart battery! So I don’t know if there is a battery missing from your inventory, but I don’t have it. Also fyi, I put my old “bad” battery back in that same day and have been driving on it since you replaced the alternator with no battery trouble…for two months. Another heads up, they sell you a warranty that only covers partial labor. The warranty covers $160 per labor hour but they charge more ($190 i think he said) and you have to get it fixed there. So even if you JUST spend 35k and they lied about what was wrong with it, you STILL HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT! More
