Overall good experience. We don't live nearby so test drove and decided the car we wanted locally. Found the trim+color we wanted at VW of Salem. Took a few calls to get them to get us the pricing info on the car and speaking with a few different sales people. Kind of odd considering i called and said "I want tgus ca4, what is the price." Once we got to Tonya and got the deposit put down, the responsiveness was significantly better. Tonya was easy to work with. My only complaint is that extended warranty and other late in the process adds are never well disclosed up front. They really need to show what the extended warranty covers and what services you get with it way earlier so the buyer can do the math and determine in advance if they want it or not. Getting hit with it during finalization of payment and title is an angering sales tactic. This isn't the only dealership that does this. If it had been up front I would have given 5 stars More

And tge deal I got with lithia Volkswagen! Not to mention the oil change for free as long as I own the car!!! Pretty sweet deal! More

When we arrived we weren’t greeted by anyone. Hung out in the lobby for around 15 mins and told some yee had an appointment with Brendan. Brendan wasn’t there so Richard filled in for him. Richard was great to work with, he is honest and build trust with us before discussing any numbers with the car we purchased. We originally walked away as the interest rate wasn’t what we were expecting. Richard reached out to me the following day and was able to get me the interest rate I was wanting. We returned that day and completed the sale. Richard made that sale happen, if we didn’t have the trust built with him I wouldn’t have returned. I had already been in contact other dealers about other cars. More

I was very disappointed with the misinformation about the rebates for used Teslas under 25k miles. I was lead to believe that I would qualify for both the state and federal rebate totally $6,500. I made it v rebates for used Teslas under 25k miles. I was lead to believe that I would qualify for both the state and federal rebate totally $6,500. I made it very clear that I wanted to qualify for both of those to purchase the vehicle. I was assured that the Fedral would come off the sticker price and the State I would have 6 months post purchase to apply and receive online. After the purchase, I realized that the State Rebate was only for ‘23 and ‘24 Models. Everyone I was in contact with was aware of this before I had signed for the car. I went back in to discuss this with them and figure out if there was a way to make this right. They quickly got the “Sales Manager” out of his office to talk with me. What started out as a respectful complaint quickly devolved into this sales manager treating me like some criminal trying to extort Volkswagen of Salem out of $2,500! He told me “It sounds like you want a refund and that’s never going to happen.” He laughed at me when I voiced my complaints and tried explaining the situation. Another sales agent told me that they are able to run someone’s finances to see what rebates they would qualify for. He said they do it all the time. This was practice was not exercised during my purchase when I had discussed several times with the selling agent that I had planned to obtain both rebates. That was the entire allure to buying a second vehicle. I have never been so humiliated and disrespected in a place of business before like this. I felt like I was getting the shakedown from a used car lot on 82nd Avenue in Portland… and not the exceptional service of Volkswagen of Salem that a co-worker had referred me too. That sales manager had me so angry and disrespected that I had to leave. I do not think I can bring myself to ever do business hear again nor would I refer anyone to either. Buying a car should not feel like this. These are people’s lives and financial responsibilities they are dealing with. More
