Poor detailing, Max stated via email would take care of exterior defaults. When picking up the vehicle, only partial details were corrected. " Max's attitude " We didn't have to take care of any of this" Overall detailing very poor. Certified Acura information was not provided. My third Luther Honda purchase, and by far the worst experience. More

Great Dealership - Both Serivce and Sales Brought my Outback in for a minor recall issue. While I was there, I said hello to equally friendly members of the sales staff, with whom I have previously dealt, and I also scheduled an appointment for a outstanding electical system issue that Luther Collision & Glass was unable to resolve, when they had performed some body work on the vehicle. Although that section of the WB Subaru service dept was booked into June, Dee Dhanraj was able to squeeze me in for an appointment within a week -- and without any hassle or question about the fact that WB Subaru was being being asked to resolve a problem that really rested with the Luther body shop organization. Dee even offered me shuttle service for that upcoming appointment, so that I would not have to wait, due to the fact that the appointment would likely be lengthy because of probably diagnostics. More

Subaru Outback purchase When me and my wife showed up to look at the Subaru Outback , it was getting dark, we took a test drive and looked over the car it looked to be almos When me and my wife showed up to look at the Subaru Outback , it was getting dark, we took a test drive and looked over the car it looked to be almost mint, and agreed to buy it, we had them add the protective clear film on the hood, mirrors, and door edges and rustproofing undercoating. Next day, we came to pick it up. When we got the car it looked good, didn’t really look too closely, but then the next day my wife went over the car in the full sun, and noticed that they put clear protective shield over the chip that they didn’t bother to touch up with matching color. They said they couldn’t find the color at the place where they installed the stuff, so they applied clear coat over the chipped paint, instead. (really!?! ) it irritated the heck out of me and my wife that we spent that money on that film to prevent chips only to see that there’s at least 3 small paint chips underneath the film, towards the edge of the hood. It defeats the purpose of getting the protective film. I asked them to fix the issue only to get an “ there’s nothing more we can do about it. “ answer. There were other scratches that we found that we didn’t notice at the initial inspection ( it was kind of dark at the time ). The plus side on this was Max was willing to help touch up the paint in some other areas, and had the engine cover replaced ( it was missing a Subaru logo on it) I really wished for a smooth experience but it was a bit rocky. but I thought that Max seemed to be a decent person to deal with. Decent Prices, HORRIBLE maintenance staff I had been in the market for a CRV for awhile. Caught one that sparked my interest with low mileage and fair price. Salesman (Max Knutson) was good, n I had been in the market for a CRV for awhile. Caught one that sparked my interest with low mileage and fair price. Salesman (Max Knutson) was good, not pushy at all. Walked out the dealership that day pretty happy with my purchase. The next day I realized that my heater was blowing lukewarm air on the drivers side of the dash. Little bit of research concluded that there is a common issue with this particular year/model with the heater core clogging up. Not a big deal, scheduled for service the next day. This is where everything goes south. Upon driving in I was met by an service rep who fielded my keys and complaint. I informed him that although I am certainly no mechanic and I know it can be a multitude of different issues that I would recommend they check the heater core, as there is a TSB out on the vehicle. He quickly told me that wasn't possible and dismissed me. Again, I like to let people do their jobs so I didn't disagree. I got a call back couple hours later, telling me it was all fixed and their fix was changing the thermostat. Basically making my car run at a higher temperature hoping that it would hide my issue from my naive eyes rather than fix it. My thermometer readings were virtually the same as before I took it in, so I promptly drove the car right back into the shop. Things get ugly here. The service rep is instantly rude and almost yelling at me why I'm back already and they fixed it and it's blowing hot air so why on earth am I here yada yada yada. Long story short he was incredibly disrespectful and rude. I kindly asked to talk to the mechanic and eventually asked them to put THEIR thermometer in the vents to prove to me it was fixed. After this was performed the mood from their staff changed as they saw the drivers side was 30 degrees cooler. They put it back in for service, this time recognizing that the heater core was indeed the issue so performing a flush was the answer. I wish the story ended here. The flush requires a solvent, which they did not use. So while their flush did improve the condition of the heater core, there was still roughly a 15-20 degree gap between the two sides. At this point I've owned the car for 3 or 4 days and didn't even have it in my possession but for maybe 24 hours. I'm frustrated and don't want to deal with this service department anymore, so I walked in the sales office and asked for the manager. As we know, Luther has a return policy so I was prepared to return the vehicle and be done with this minor issue turned migraine. Manager was understanding and of course trying to save the sale he asked if he could put it through maintenance down at the local Honda Dealer. After the vehicle returned from the Honda dealer, the heater was running to specs. I really don't feel this place deserves anything more than 1 star. I know people make mistakes but to make repetitive mistakes and be disrespectful, people need to be held accountable. I feel the sales staff should have made me feel better about my experience rather than simply FINALLY getting my car fixed. Buy if you may, but PLEASE do not use their service department. I should never have to leave a review this long. More
