Hi Bruce, First off, thank you for your business and we appreciate your honest feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve and make our dealership better. Unfortunately with the cost of everything going up, it has also affected the auto industry labor rates. When we set our prices for services being performed, we use the industry standards based upon several factors: 1. Inflation - expenses is going up substantially including utilities, supplies, insurance and disposal fees. 2. Technicians pay - dwindling supply and rising demand for skilled workers. 3. Ford Certified technicians - continued education costs and specialized equipment needed. We do understand how prices have gone up on everything and that is why we are not even at the top the labor rate scale because we do want our customers to have affordable care. The national average for a Certified dealership technician rate is $179/hr and climbing. I hope this information helps give you a deeper understanding of what goes into us determining what to charge and why. Mike Murphy Ford
