I purchased my first Subaru Forester 20 years ago from Peninsula Subaru in Port Orchard Wa. and loved it . It transported my family safely on countless ski trips to Whistler B.C. ,Sun Peaks ,Schweitzer,Mt . Bachelor,Crystal Mountain,Mission Ridge and other beautiful mountains. Wednesday, December 29 ,2021 10am I purchased my second Subaru Forester that I already love even though I only have 250 miles so far . I drove 150 miles today safely and confidently in extreme winter driving conditions that I could not have with my previous front wheel drive car with studded snow tires that transported me on countless other ski trips . I love the safety and quality of this vehicle.I am planning to have this capable quality vehicle for many more years and many more adventures.Safe travels ,thanks to Subaru. More

Then c First time buying a car and we certainly learned a few things. The test drive was fine, the salesman seemed to have adequate product knowledge. Then came the buying... We were provided with a price from another sales associate the previous day. I brought it up and talked about it then we were told that it had to do with the type of financing. OK. However, nothing was done to reach out to the previous sales associate or confirm that we had been quoted this price. After going back and forth for a bit (nothing major, just talking). I said I was stuck on the price quoted by the original sales associate. At this point, Mark became visibly upset/stern and said, "If was trying to negotiate, that ship has sailed'. It should be noted that nothing had been signed or agreed upon at this point. We took some time to discuss and decided to continue. On reflection, this was largely due to the fact of how unpleasant this was becoming and we didn't want to start the process again. Our mistake, but still not fun. Wrapping up the deal seemed to take an exceedingly long time and overall a very exhausting process. These are quotes from, "This American Life" from an episode titled "Why Buying A Car Is So Awful" KATHY CHAMPAGNE: It makes me feel manipulated. TIM NAYAR: I hate the - I hate the haggling. I hate the lost weekends. MATT YUEN: I feel stupid, weak and powerlessness I think. I want to get out of there. CHAMPAGNE: It also takes forever. If awful is average our experience was very average.
