Brought my truck to GMC Tasca Clearwater for an engine replacement—it took 2.5 months just to diagnose and install the first engine, only to find out they forgot to order the updated engine mounts. I took replacement—it took 2.5 months just to diagnose and install the first engine, only to find out they forgot to order the updated engine mounts. I took time off work to pick it up, but was told that day it wasn’t ready. A week later, I finally got the truck, drove home to South Sarasota, and the next morning it sounded like two wrenches hitting each other. I was told to “drive it and see if it goes away.” Three weeks later, they told me to bring it back—turns out the glow plug had failed and destroyed the engine. Mark Ramputi told me the truck was ready (again), but I arrived to find it still torn apart. Then I was told it also needed a particulate filter. Mark repeatedly stretched the truth about loaners and repair timelines. 4 months in total and this was an extremely frustrating experience. I’m truly sorry for the state of their service department and the overall lack of leadership at this dealership. Based on this experience, I would never return and would strongly advise against using any of their other locations as well. I do not recommend this dealership or Mark as a service advisor. More
