That could mean weeks or months without your vehicle, which is completely unacceptable. What You Can Do Next: 1. Demand a Buyback or Replacement – If the car has been undrivable for 30+ days, you may be legally entitled to a refund or replacement under Florida’s Lemon Law (especially if the issue affects safety, drivability, or major components). 2. Escalate to GM Corporate – The dealership is blaming General Motors. Call GM’s corporate customer service and file a complaint about the situation (1-800-222-1020 for Cadillac). 3. Consider Legal Action – If they refuse to resolve this, a Lemon Law attorney can put serious pressure on them. In many cases, GM will settle quickly rather than go to court. 4.
