The week before I went and test drove the Armada with my family and we decided which trim and options were best for our family. Followed up and requested the OTD cost to move into finalizing also let the rep Nico know I was also working with other dealerships& would go with who I felt earned my business. I was also crystal clear that I would only consider their lender if I received a better rate than I had from my credit union. Fast forward to us agreeing on an OTD cost& me also agreeing to arrive to finalized the deal that evening. I had already done the financing application at home and requested to see their numbers on paper. I kept insisting& was told “ooo I’d have to get with the manager to find out what those are.” An hour later a guy named Marco called to tell me that they could only offer the OTD cost I was told if I agreed to their financing which was a 8.6% interest rate. I laughed out loud and was like you guys are a joke! You expect me as a tier one applicant to accept a rate over twice my credit union for your OTD cost!?! I was then told I could refinance in 6 months and I simply told the guy they haven’t earned my business and hung up the phone. Ended up going to Universal Nissan the next day and driving off with a beautiful 2025 Platinum Armada. No games, no tricks! More
